Monday Round-Up; New Radnich/Krueger Show on KRON; KTVU Vet Employees Leaving; Dan Noyes Cleans NBC BA 'Investigative Unit' Clock

 Monday Night Round-Up

*A new Radnich-Larry Krueger show is set to debut on KRON Thursday night.

*KTVU is seeing a lot of long-time people retire; not just reporters, anchors, editors and producers too and the latest, the Community Affairs director.

*An early tease: NBC Bay Area spends boatloads of money on its "Investigative Unit" and has an 18-person staff only Dan Noyes at KGO-TV cleaned their clock in the on-going November sweeps. (I'll talk about this Tuesday).

*Oh, on another front, expect the unexpected. (Tease).

    1. Wonder if Gary will give "Richie", as he's now known from 9 to noon, a plug on tomorrow's show for breaking the news.

    2. I was feigning shock. Actually, Radnich as usual in his weird ways already had said last week he and Larry had done a "practice show" for something on KRON,and Radnich just blurted out " It wasn't very good". That really puts me on the end of my seat...

    3. The new show should be great for Stan who is so obsessed with Radnich that he watches and listens to Gary every single moment he's on the air.

    4. OH! Stan's that guy!
Thought he got kicked out and started his own blog. Must be like a bad yeast infection, hard to get rid of.

    5. Somebody has to do it. Lee Hammer is a total failure. At least I cured Radnich of his Vicodin driving tips, his Cathy feeling up and and his R.Kelly promotions of seducing little girls to music. And it was me who caught Radnich trying to make Jerry West and Terry Bradshaw as phoneys because they have depression as an illness. He thought that means they should never smile.,More ignorance by Radnich.
      Thanks for asking.

    6. Stan, if you really believe your crazy Radnich rants have any tangible effect in the real world you are seriously disturbed.

    7. 906..That's your answer? I think what you have is some serious denial.
Or go to your other answer- I'm banned on this blog. That's your real world?

    8. The real world is one in which Gary Radnich is an enduring, popular media personality on both television and radio. And Stan is a nobody with a Radnich stalking obsession, a blog nobody reads, and bizarre delusions that the things he writes somehow effects real celebrities who don't even know he exists.

    9. And nobody reads my blog? 23,000 views in 4 months is not "nobody's". I seem to get a lot of Iphone and Android visitors. And those are used by real people. And Google tells me, many use " Stan's Blog" in search.
      Gee,I just hate to brag....

  2. The guy who got fired by KTVU for Tweeting oh sh*t looks like a genius now. Especially if things are as bad as they appear.

  3. Larry's going to need to get his white sheets dry cleaned for TV.

    1. Noyce is kicking ass and pissed. His "mentors" ex KGO'ers Kevin Keeshan and Valari Staab now big shots at NBC didn't take him along for the ride. It also helps him that We Investigate at KNTV is a disaster, just ask any staffer.

  4. From a photog or editor's point of view (of which I am...and used to be an "I-Team" shooter/editor/producer in another market):

    Investigative Reporting is B-O-R-I-N-G!

How exciting/creative is it to shoot still-pics...ambush-walks...and--my "favorite"--stacks of documents (bonus points if you drop the stack "into-the-frame" and make sure it makes loud noise)? How thrilling is it, while editing, to leave a black hole to be filled with full-screen text or animation (done by somebody else?) How challenging is it to insert security-cam or hidden cam video?

I won a few Emmys a couple of years ago for things I shot and edited. I felt embarrassed when I showed up with the rest of the group (producer, EP, AE, ND, GRFX person) to walk up to the podium to accept the award(s). For what? For something that any rookie shooter/editor can do? I remember thinking at the podium, "What the HELL are all these people up here for? Hell---what the HELL am I doing up here?"
