Why must he remind us every day?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but why must Rich repeat his everyday? I happen to like Radnich and Krueger. Hell of a lot better than Fitz and Brooks, the Razor, Eric Byrnes, and Martie Lurie.

krueger is extremely bland and adds nothing to any of his appearances...he should coin himself the "everyday sport's fan" because he brings no more insight or creativity to a show than a regular listener could

I would leave Tolbert on in the afternoon by himself and I would give Ray Woodson his own show at whatever time he wanted. I would also try to bring back Bruce MacGowan. Other than that, I would start over. I would consider bringing Frank and Mike back in the morning but I suspect at this point in their lives they are happy in retirement.

ReplyDeleteBTW,Krueger was really getting on Raddys nerves today with his angry rants,or interrupting a nice interview with Reggie Jackson. Just as Radnich asked Reggie about Moneyball,Larry cut him off and made it a tell us how great New York media is, talk. Larry hates the bay area media and Lowell Cohn in particular. Lowell's Harbaugh's youth question was hinted at as the worst type of local interview.
I think Radnich has to wonder why in his twilight years KNBR cant find a decent co -host for him. Like a Vern Glenn?..oh,that would be TWO black men on KNBR. Their demographics cant handle that.
The vitriol here should really be directed at Fitz. What a putz...

ReplyDeleteIt's sad to listen to Krueger in his return to KNBR, because he's obviously not the same guy. Unlike his stint on Sportsphone where he was blunt and uncompromising in his criticism of local teams and talent, Krueger has definately toned it down so that he "doesn't create any waves." And having to kow-tow to a has-been like Radnich makes him that much more pathetic. The incessant laughing at Gary's worn-out jokes is an indication that Larry wants to keep Gary happy.
ReplyDeleteI will give Radnich some credit for standing up for Larry when Krueger was under fire, and then eventually shown the door during the Felipe Alou fiasco of a half a dozen years ago. But Krueger doesn't owe Radnich anything, and should stop
slobbering over the guy like some star-struck fan. I had a lot more respect for Krueger when he was doing the show at night by himself. Paired with Gary....it's an odd mix, and for me, an uncomfortable program to listen to. Sounds like another brilliant move by Lee Hammer, one of the most clueless dunderheads in the history of bay area radio programming.
