Darya Folsom vs. Justine Waldman:
She won't speak to Justine, that is, unless to correct her and make her look like an idiot in front of others, and she is constantly taking pictures of Justine's clothes. She even made a comment on her site about Justine's cleavage. Justine is obviously outraged, so there is tension there. I don't know if any of the other morning women are affected, but you can cut the animosity and tension between Darya and Justine with a knife.
I say can't we all just get along?
Here's some sage advice, Justine: Don't mess with KRON's Queen bee. She is, we'll, connected. You should know, Goddess.
And Darya, for my two cents, I say, if she continues to piss you off? Do this: Take her in the green room and turn it on to "Henry's Garden", lock the door and close it--she'll succumb to culture shock.

It was obvious from the beginning that Darya didn't like the intruder Justine. And really,what was KRON thinking to pair these to who are so similar in looks and sounds? Usually the tough brunette is paired with a girly girl blond in the news bizz.
ReplyDeleteYou get the feeling from even passing interest in watching KRON-they don't like each other much. None of the anchors sound like they've ever seen the inside of another's home. I know Raddy goes on and on about caring about Darya..then she said once that she hasn't seen him live in years!
Justine did a couple of months ago complain that she wanted to do "Garys World" as a fill in. And once she did..since then,never seen her again do it again.
KRON's drama- so much more open to the public then the other channels. Hey,at least Justine and Darya never sank so low as to sue their Mom for piddly money like Mrs. goody anchor on THAT special Ed station-lol.
I think they should both take their anger out by having angry sex with me.....preferably a threesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is not insider information, Rich. This is common sense. As a viewer, you can see that both women have that nasal yet harsh East Coast accent. Both are slender brunettes. Instead of Justine, KRON should have brought in a girl of different appearance. So yea tension is there. Whenever Justine says back to Darya, Darya does not acknowledge her, she just continues on like Justine is irrelevant

ReplyDeleteI've never liked Darya. She seemes more interested in her sexy appearance, tight clothes and trying to be the "Queen" of all local female anchors. Personally I would like to see her LEAVE! Her voice is irritating, her attempts at joking sucks, she is trying to "tone" down herself now that she hears viewers are sick and tired of her. Try as she might, she will never be a "star" anywhere. She talks too fast and the sooner she leaves the better!

ReplyDeleteI've always found Folsom to resemble a braying donkey. intrusive and abrasive. Her studied ignorance of Waldman is tacky. KRON would benefit by her departure.

The way she giggles and batts her eyes as Radnich drones on literally "phoning it in",is not as creepy,but similar to the way Bunger and crew would fall all over themselves when John Madden said ANYTHING,while punching his 5 min timecard on the radio. Gimme All the cleavage,fingernails and hair pulling the fcc will tolerate! Keep your turducken and Brett Farvra stories for your nurse, grandpa.

ReplyDeleteMan some people are picky here! Ok, Darya isn't the best looking woman but she does have a smokin bod! Justine has a prettier face but doesn't have the bod of Darya. Both don't have very good voices but I would rather see them than to see someone with a good voice. If you want one then listen to radio but then there is a reason those people are on radio because they don't have the looks for television. So far I haven't seen anyone say anything about Erica Kato. She is both very hot and has a very pleasent voice! She definately needs more air time in my opinion!

ReplyDeletePersonally I am so tired of watching Darya every morning. I enjoy watching KRON, they cover all of my local news but I cringe when that woman comes on tv. They dialogue between her and Gary have made me throw a few things at my tv. She acts like she knows what she's talking about and then laughs constantly while flexing her biceps. Not attractive. I've never had a problem with Hustine, at least she looks professional and isn't irritating. She wears business suits not 'up in the club' wear like Darya. A black silk sleeveless cocktail dress with black sequins for the 4am news? Really? Anyway, when Darya comes on I change the channel to another news station. Also what's up with the newsgirls? God they suck. They wear club attire too... its kinda pathetic. We watch you KRON for your coverage... not what's covering your female reports. Its a sad attempt to attractive male viewers... but giving Darya a whole segment to joke around with alcoholic Gary every morning about so called sports news isn't cutting it. Please please get some new people. Give more Justine more airtime and stop with the cocktail dresses geez!

ReplyDeleteDarya is only OK to look at if the sound is off. Gary needs to retire. I really like the concept of KRON, I just wish the execution was better. But I do enjoy a watching a cute weather girl. Even bad weather just seems better. Darya needs to be cut way back and given a new role, maybe something like what Andy Roony did with 60 Minutes. Sometimes less is more.
