KCBS, as usual, was at its A-game best Friday morning in its coverage of a major accident at 4Th and King, near AT&T Park.
Veteran street reporter, Bob Melrose, who seems to be everywhere, was his usual steady presence, as he reported live from the scene and managed to get out all the details. (major injury, field sobriety tests conducted by police, two trucks, etc)
In addition, traffic anchor Kim Wonderley, with solid support from news opps, Stan Bunger and Susan Leigh-Taylor, did a nice job of offering listeners updated info on the accident, which caused major delays in the immediate area, with MUNI the most affected.
(Bunger later updated a pedestrian struck by a truck in the accident was pronounced dead at SF General.)
