The SF sports media and their coveted 415/408 brethren: notably almost all the KNBR nebbishes like Radnich and Bob Fitzgerald, all predicted a massive 49Er's victory over the 1-6 Titans.
Fitzgerald did one better, twice actually, telling holier-than-thou, uptight sideline schmuck Rod Brooks, "they'll beat Tennessee" NO, they'll BEAT Tenn."
Helluva week for 'flunkster dude: his beloved Notre Dame football team lost to that power behemoth Navy and the Warriors made Sacramento look like the Lakers last night.
I want to hear what Mike Singletary has to say about Sunday's disaster. Not that Singletary was responsible for the interceptions and give-aways, but he IS the coach and THIS was the game that everyone said was a keeper.
Singletary blew a semi-cork in his post game press conference; at least a few of his press minions FINALLY asked him a pointed question or two before he split for a haven away from the Candlestick titanic.
Singletary talks to "Murph" on KNBR Tuesday morning and presumably will be asked how his squad will not eff up the joint and lose to the Bears; (Chicago, not CAL)
**Gary Radnich; last seen trying to kiss royal tuchas to Willie Brown on the post game Comcast show, will probably do his usual, "hey, enjoy the game--they're not that bad, blah, blah, blah."
**Here's a simple fact to consider: Raiders record: 2-6 --49Er's: 3-5. BOTTOM LINE: Both our teams' suck; I just wish the local "experts" would acknowledge that the 415Er's aren't that much better than the Raiders, but Jed York is such a nice kid!
Fitz is a homer for the Warriors and Brooks is a homer for the 9ers.....I only listen for the jokes (giggle) (giggle)
ReplyDeletekevracer: I listened to Gary this morn, (predictable)...know exactly what the 9-Noon gigglers will do, (really I know Flunkster will try to do a positive spin on both the dubs and Irish--Niners too) and 3-7 Ameci rep will say all along that Singletary wasn't ready for the job, (hez prob. right)...Just listen and hear for yourself.
ReplyDeleteSome good stuff between Lowell Cohn (SR Press Democrat) and Singletary today per SF Gate and today's PD online. Singletary can be intimidating, gotta give Cohn credit. Now Murph and Mac on the other hand probably won't sleep tonight, worrying about offending the coach Tuesday morning.
ReplyDeleteHeard a little of the Fitz and Brooks show this afternoon, man that Brooks likes to hear himself talk. Fitz seemed pretty low, most likely due the before mentioned results of his teams.
It is so welcomed to hear the truth.
