GG Bridge Birthday Orgasm Coverage; KTVU First on Morgan Hill Missing Teen Story; Cumulus Minutiae; Tuesday Rundown

For the next week, non-stop, you're going to get about every-known fact, detail, visual, actuality ad nauseum bullet-point about a red bridge that connects the city with Marin County.

Granted, it has a birthday. Its 75th. Beautiful. Wonderful. And yes, wise ass I am, I know, schmucko, that "Golden Gate Bridge" is a major brand in the 415 and beyond.

Just be prepared for the onslaught. The live shots will, of course, be way too numerous, all too encompassing, and brought forth to you, LIVE!, from many reporters who don't even know the geography here. The newbie effect will be front and center. And hours of it. Please stay for the fireworks and take BART. Parking on Doyle Drive not allowed.

*I don't think it's a subject matter they'll crow about, but for the record, KTVU was the first media outlet here to break the news of an arrest in the Sierra LaMar missing teen story.

*It has been already established that the use of the term, "bombs" as home runs is not especially cool considering the fact that there's a war going on, (and the last remnants of one in Iraq), yet "Murph" of the Murph and Mack extravaganza on KNBR continues to use the term not just every now and then, but repeatedly. Like every day. Maybe he too didn't read the handbook.

*The legal beagles that scream that Ralph Barbieri hasn't got a case against Cumulus are probably right--that's not the point. Barbieri may still want to go to court just to expose some of the bodies buried in the Cumulus basement at 55 Hawthorne. As he pointed out, he's Italian, he's angry, and persistent. And he has an attorney who is more than willing to aid and abet. She's, (Angela Alioto), Italian too.

*The Ronn Owens item of the day: count the number of times Ronnnnnnnnnn mentions "Jared Hart"--I think the over/under is 20 a day. Bet the over.

*Dear "Mel Baker", KGONE: You are a phucking shill for a bogus radio station and I don't care for your open shilling for the Dickey bastards that DESTROYED radio in this city. Take your phucking propaganda and 14th-ranked station meltdown somewhere else, you piece of excrement. I don't give a rat's patoon who the phuck you are, don't care, and you annoy me. Other than that, have a nice day, hack boy.

*Possible KRON news feature: Coffee with Da Lin.

*Bob Fitzgerald: I know more than God. Rudy is helpless.

*Damon Bruce and Gary Radnich: Fire and Ice

*A Cumulus on-air person with an equally serious ailment, (controlled by medication)--I'm not going to name a name for privacy concerns only to report that this is bound to hit the fan sometime in the future.

*KGONE weekend programming: radio rubics cube.

*KGONE weekday programming: Scrabble.

*If "The Game", (95.7 FM Sports), wants to get serious, then they'll have to get the Raiders radio rights. Then we'll talk about relevancy. Until then, please...

*The KNTV, (NBC Bay Area) "Investigative Unit" has not moved the needle much to the chagrin of the station heads who banked on the idea of solid reporters reporting on "solid" stories. Fair enough, but if nobody is watching, even with glitzy ads, we have a problem.

*Kate Scott: Anybody have a clue?

*Larry Kruger: Sellout without talent that works cheap and has to put up with grumpy old man.

*Ken Bastida: More reporting, less anchoring. A trend? Yes, for reasons unknown.

*Ben Fong-Torres: Fact: Repeated love stories in the Pinkie about KGO, KNBR, and KFOG. Fact: BFT used to do show on KFOG. Coincidence? Perhaps. You be the judge.

KSFO's Brian Sussman kidnapped by Tony the Tiger; OMG, PIX Says the World is Ending--Earthquake, Earthquake; Ronn Owens Update on Great KGO Format Change; KTVU Inner Turmoil; More Knibber; Tuesday Notes

Breaking News: KSFO's Brian SussMAN is, in actuality, Tony the Tiger.

Tony kidnapped the Suss at a Sunnyvale Tea Party hoe-down, thus creating the Suss sensation in the morning drive where Suss uses the word, "great" at least a hundred times a day.

Just on Tuesday morning, I counted 15 "greats" from the Susser.

He's a great American. (Mark Levin) You're great Ann!, (Ann Coulter) It's a great website, (Newsbusters)

A favorite: You're a great American!

Give a listen: The sussMAN is good for at least 500 greats per week, although he did break his own Guinness Book record a few weeks back with 4321 great references. All of Fremont, Walnut Creek, Foster City, Martinez, had a mass SUSSman "Great-a-Thon" and devoured bologna sandwiches with wonder bread and fresh mayo only--YES, it was GREAT!

*There were a couple of very moderate earthquakes on Monday Morning; if you caught coverage on KPIX, the world was coming to an end. Everything stopped. Reporters en mass goin' nuts. BART Updates. OMG, it's the Apocalypse! Call Oliver Stone.

*Ronn Owens latest assesment on the "new", "exciting" "KGO 810": This is really great! (Owens works geographically nearby the aforementioned Sussman, therefore has obviously caught the Embarcadero virus known as "Jared-Susss-Cumulitis-Igot a checkto cashLegionares" disease.

*At KTVU, they celebrated a great February sweeps by lamenting and oozing great amounts of anxiety pills in the newsroom: more "Special Ed" talk. I think they should hire one more consultant and "thanks for trusting me."

*Ronn had a breakout weekend: He and Copie both had simultaneous manicures at a new salon on Chestnut called: Not a Genuine Manicure. How depressing!

*Today on the Radnich-Krueger, KNBR lovefest: Gary and Larry talk about the time they did radio together in 808, Utah. Krueger bets the house that Ratinovich goes gaga over Larrewski's new mega two-year deal.

*"808-KNBR", your thoughts on the amount of brown toilet paper in the Knibber studios from 9-Noon, winner gets a pair of Brian Sabean's Tommy Bahama Sunday shirts.

*THIS JUST IN: KQED's reviewers on "Check Please" go nuts over the Louisiana Hots at Red's Java House. "Just awesome", said the reliable, Chikita Turnip, late of Liverpol Lol's.

*Speaking of brown toilet paper: Mel Baker.
