Cowards and Annonymous Posters--Two of a Kind

 You hide behind the keyboard and inject venom. You are the worst of the worst. See my name up there at the top of this blog? It isn't anonymous. It's plainly seen and that's why it's Rich Lieberman 415 Media because Rich Lieberman is transparent and believes in what he says and expresses his opinion and doesn't HIDE behind some stupid pseudonym and a keyboard and make personal attacks.

MAN UP.

If you choose to rip me, (or anyone else for that matter), then have the balls to use your real name.

I do.

I understand and appreciate there are those of you that want to remain anonymous and that's fine. But if you make personal attacks --some of which are really, really, personal and disturbing, then you'd better step to the plate and identify who you are. I know for a fact many of you that rip me personally are in the business because my computer geek has a way of seeing where the IP address emanates from; so not only are you all COWARDS, you're pretty dumb cowards at that. Just sayin.

I'm flattered that those of you in the biz who are jealous of my impending light speed jettison back into the media world write your venom; great, it exposes your character flaw in mass detail. You are worse than vermin. Quote me. I have many advocates now--they put aside petty and amateur-hour material and believe in me and have come to appreciate my talent, my versatility, my uniqueness and have placed me square up top of the domain. It's not bragging when it's true.

I'm opinionated. And I show it, speak it--write it. I don't mind calling someone out and I will do so and do so publicly as long as there's an audience. And my audience is getting bigger --not just here but on the radio too.

I will rip and rip a lot, critique and critique a lot and when I do, MY NAME will be CLEAR and amply so--that's the only way I operate. So please, if you're going to go after me and try to tear me down, I welcome the barrage. If you tear me down with extra-strength venom I'm ready for it but if you fail to ID yourself, then, yeah, I'm not pubbing your shit. This is MY place. My crib. Nobody forced you to come to my party. You want censor? Well, damn straight, you got it.

This is NOT a democracy here. It's a dictatorship. Sorry to ruin your day.

To my loyal readers--even those who disagree with me quite a bit but who are intellectually honest enough and able to pen their disagreement in mostly civilized terms, sorry to have bothered you all with another state of the Lieberman union, but I had to get this off my chest.

More reasons to hate Cumulus; Knibber Foibles; KTVU and KPIX Nuggets; Tuesday Scrambled Media Eggs

One of the 10,876-plus things about why many people hate Cumulus is that they are not radio people. They're not even broadcast people. And thus, their contempt for broadcast people in radio is self-evident and explains why they have systematically destroyed radio not only here, but other markets as well.

Cumulus' hierarchy is about money and consolidation. To hell with the product. Basically, they are content whores whose sole desire is to make money with the least amount of financial expenditures. Mean and lean.


When you have bean counters manning the company that have no respect for the industry and are willing to go to any and all means to maximize profit then you subsequently get a crappy product with low-paid guinea pigs and a few aardvarks just hanging on to sell mattresses and occasionally do a radio show.

*I haven't listened to the bloated one on Knibber morning with his younger bud but I heard he mentioned me a few times. This, from a guy who insists he never reads blogs...By the way, nice of you to mock Ted Robinson, according to a few moles on the 11th floor....Speaking of KNBR: yes, the truly smarmy Bobby Fitz has supposedly not uttered a word on the Mantai Te'o story which only reinforces what everybody already knows: the guy has zero cred. Enough said.

*At KTVU, a broadcast source tells me if the early evening numbers, (at 5 and 6), don't pick up in February, (during sweeps), "heads will roll", his words, not mine.

*More KTVU nuggets: It's well known over there that management doesn't want to push veteran consumer reporter, Tom Vacar out to pasture. Why? Because Vacar happens to be a lawyer too and they know it...And science reporter, John Fowler, has told people he's not interested at all in retiring. Problem is, KTVU may not feel the same...John Sasaki is in that mold too, but wait and see....Hey, Claudine Wong? Lighten up and laugh every now and then. It's not just me who thinks you evoke extreme un-likability. Smile too--couldn't hurt.

*Meanwhile over at KPIX, fear and angst permeate the newsroom because rumors continue to circulate that GM, Bruno Cohen, is about to make his first big move. And it doesn't involve air talent.
