Cowards and Annonymous Posters--Two of a Kind

You hide behind the keyboard and inject venom. You are the worst of the worst. See my name up there at the top of this blog? It isn't anonymous. It's plainly seen and that's why it's Rich Lieberman 415 Media because Rich Lieberman is transparent and believes in what he says and expresses his opinion and doesn't HIDE behind some stupid pseudonym and a keyboard and make personal attacks.

MAN UP.

If you choose to rip me, (or anyone else for that matter), then have the balls to use your real name.

I do.

I understand and appreciate there are those of you that want to remain anonymous and that's fine. But if you make personal attacks --some of which are really, really, personal and disturbing, then you'd better step to the plate and identify who you are. I know for a fact many of you that rip me personally are in the business because my computer geek has a way of seeing where the IP address emanates from; so not only are you all COWARDS, you're pretty dumb cowards at that. Just sayin.

I'm flattered that those of you in the biz who are jealous of my impending light speed jettison back into the media world write your venom; great, it exposes your character flaw in mass detail. You are worse than vermin. Quote me. I have many advocates now--they put aside petty and amateur-hour material and believe in me and have come to appreciate my talent, my versatility, my uniqueness and have placed me square up top of the domain. It's not bragging when it's true.

I'm opinionated. And I show it, speak it--write it. I don't mind calling someone out and I will do so and do so publicly as long as there's an audience. And my audience is getting bigger --not just here but on the radio too.

I will rip and rip a lot, critique and critique a lot and when I do, MY NAME will be CLEAR and amply so--that's the only way I operate. So please, if you're going to go after me and try to tear me down, I welcome the barrage. If you tear me down with extra-strength venom I'm ready for it but if you fail to ID yourself, then, yeah, I'm not pubbing your shit. This is MY place. My crib. Nobody forced you to come to my party. You want censor? Well, damn straight, you got it.

This is NOT a democracy here. It's a dictatorship. Sorry to ruin your day.

To my loyal readers--even those who disagree with me quite a bit but who are intellectually honest enough and able to pen their disagreement in mostly civilized terms, sorry to have bothered you all with another state of the Lieberman union, but I had to get this off my chest.

Now, back to spaghetti and meatballs.

  1. Hi Rich. If creating and using a name was much easier on your blog, my bet is more people would do it. I have tried changing mine from time to time, but the system you use is not very flexible. Sometimes I may use the Guy Fawkes mask, or Burl Ives, or even Betty Crocker, if you really have to know. Of course, me being almost computer illiterate doesn't help either.
I know you're speaking of particular writers who are Malicious Contrarians and Poison Darters who strive to pop other folks balloons just for the sadistic thrill. Well, that aint me. I just like to run my digital mouth and hear the latest dignified gossip.

  2. Ditto. I don't comment much but it's much easier to log in with a comment using Anon than it is signing in through gmail, for example.

    1. I have tried to use another name other than Anonymous, but found it too time consuming and cumbersome. I have made comments on other blogs using google to sign in, but it seems if you don't use it often enough, you have to change your password, and they send you different links and still I couldn't sign in. I'm not a computer geek, but I can navigate my way around must sights, and use my computer daily for different tasks, so I agree with the 2 comments above.

  3. I don't have an account on the sites you offer and don't intend to sign up for one just for the sake of posting an occasional comment here. So, Anon I will remain.

Besides, if you're going to censer the posts, what's the point?

  4. I don't follow why folks are saying it's hard to log in on this blog. I'm a complete luddite when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I have no problem doing so. What snags me, is reading the Captcha prompt.

  5. It's nice to see anonymous is back. I tried to comment on here last night but anonymous was no longer an option. I figured in time Rich would see less than 5 comments per post and see that most people prefer the anonymous option. As a few people mentioned above, I have no desire to make an account at any of the options listed. Me? I've never ripped Rich. I enjoy what he offers. Why come here if you dislike Rich? Easy solution...don't come here.

  6. You can create a name and use it consistently, as I do. This is actually what my niece and nephews call me.

"Anonymous" doesn't cut it--at least if you go by one name, the rest of us can track your thinking.

I don't believe Rich censors the posts, but he may if people post hate speech or something. He's never censored me, even when I don't agree with him. But then again, I do it politely....

  7. When I managed a daily newspaper, the publisher allowed anonymous comments on stories. For that reasons and others, I left the paper I co-founded.

Newspapers, which are different from blogs, should not run anything as anonymous that they wouldn't run on an opinion page.

Yes, I know, tech has changed newspapers, but how has anonymity helped newspapers?

If vile, hateful comments are how newspapers gauge their worth, then it shows how far journalism has sunk.

It used to be solid stories, investigative pieces that would lure readers to keep reading, compelling opinions, lively letters to the editor, etc. Newspapers may be down, but they aren't out.

And I agree with Seymour Hersch: fire 90 percent of the news editors in all mediums: print, broadcast and electronic. Their personal views have clouded their independent pursuit of news in America.

It hurts to a Daily Mail link, but I haven't seen the same story in American media. The New York Daily News had an artical, but it was not as thorough as the Daily Mail's was.

    1. Seymour Hersh agrees with me that the Bin Laden Raid and Killing story was a complete myth. I never believed it.They supposedly used DNA tests to 'instantly' confirm it was Bin Laden who was shot when it usually takes a while to conduct DNA tests. Then to have not ONE picture of the corpse? I think both Bush and Obama used the spectre of BoogeyMan Bin Laden for many years to help justify spending more billions. When they could not scare up more money from the ruse, he was 'killed once again'. Many think he had BIN dead since 2002 battle at Tora Bora.

  8. It is very simple to use a name. You just select the drop down box and go to the "Name/URL" choice. You type your name in, and voila! I always use this name when commenting here. I would support removing the "anonymous" option.

  9. I posted the comments at 11:26 and tried to just use my name, but couldn't, I'll try again. I tried open ID just wrote in the name I wanted to use, but nothing happened, tried other, but then I get re directed and have to come up with a password, etc. As I said too time consuming and cumbersome. However I will sign my name here.

  10. Rich, you don't have the guts to remove "anonymous" because it'll put into question the number of posters/readers are on the blog. You know this. I've suggested on more than one occasion you remove anon postings, but you haven't. I used to post more and leave my initials because I didn't want to waste the time logging in.

Now you suggest people are cowards? How are they different from you in that regard? They don't want to come out of the shadows, and you don't want to shine a light! Couple this with the amount of posts you won't publish, I think it's slightly hypocritical for you to hold your posters to some standard you don't seem to hold yourself to.

There have been numerous comments of mine you haven't posted, and that's why I stopped posting as much as I did. That and my connection at Cumulus stopped caring about the inner-workings.

That said, everything I said in the past about Cumulus has come to fruition, or is moving in that direction.

  11. It's Monday morning and I need your help . Rich, with all your contacts in the media, please have someone let Tori Campbell know that she needs a professional to help with her appearance. Between whatever that thing is around her neck and the loud colors she wears, it distracts from the news and makes me want to vomit. Thank-you.

  12. Rich, I agree with what you're saying, but you can't take that stuff personally. Folks need to vent, just like you do as people today are uptight and on edge. You can always keep the really incendiary and vicious ones out of the blog (it sounds as if you do), but when you write things that are as provocative and as opinionated as you do, you have to expect some reaction. Like you, I find the idea that someone would take dirty shots offensive, yet at the same time, we all need to be above worrying about that nonsense. There are a lot of sick, unhappy and angry people in the world, and it's best to just let them stew in their own juices.

  13. Wow Rich...What a scary Post!
I have never said anything negative directed toward you....

But Micheal Savage deserves every truthful thing that could come his way!
He is an evil rabble-rouser that fills peoples minds with hatred and rage against our President and the entire Dem Party.

The Right Wing has more than it's share of Radio talking heads who are out only to destroy the harmony of America with lies and obnoxious misinformation.

I'm actually fearful of the huge Koch Brother's type money behind the Republican Party and very much value the opportunity to use your Anonymous option. Thank you for that option.

    1. Writer at 11:03am,,My message to you as a Conservative is Fear Us Not. If we could have 'done something' to people who vote (repeatedly) as you do, we would have 'done it' back last November. We are forced to join you-all for the eight year long muddy ride downhill, as the progressives put more and more folks out to work through that Pandora's Box called ObamaCare. Indeed, we live in interesting times. Our Allies don't even know us anymore. Suddenly Putin is my New Best Friend., not that I fully trust him either.,,,We fear YOU people. The progressives are taking our personal choices away through legislation and partisan judges/ The plebecite are treated as though parasites.

    2. And by "partisan judges" you certainly don't mean the 5 on the SCOTUS, who gave us Citizens United?

No, no, you wouldn't mean them...

      Keep talking, moron.
