Monday Media Notebook

*The other figure in the would-be joint effort to get a portion of some of the pre-KGOne  players back into a new property, (on FM, maybe) is a local broadcast impresario who has the money and organization.

Whether that translates into a deal is anyone's guess. We will know in the coming months.

*That alleged talk host, based in Long Beach can deny, deny all he wants about his dissing words of fellow host, Pat Thurston--he said 'em. Not only did Thurston know, but almost all of his minions did too. The red carpet Rupert Pupkin is a walking contradiction: he rails that the gay press ignores him. That he hates being referred to as "KGOne's openly gay host", yet brings up his sexuality almost every minute and embellishing it by stating that "I got laid last night." Putz.

And his supposed "contract?" That doesn't mean anything more, Rupert, unless it's a personal services deal and you ain't got that...And how delicious that your bosses told you not to mention my name. I guess "this little blog" has made its way into the Bungey mansion. Was Bungey invited to your red carpet show down in El Lay?

*The robotic mattress man still hasn't publicly said a word over the shakedown. Maybe he and Copey are devising plans to form a new two-man show: "Not a genuine combo."

*Vern Glenn, KPIX weekend sports anchor, working the Niners-Minn. Friday night game on the sideline did a pre-game report and called PBP-guy, Dennis O'Donnell, "Gary." Uh, oops. We'll give Vern a mulligan on that one.

*My policy on comments to this blog? No official policy. You get real, real personal and take it down a dark road, no, I won't pub it. Obscenities are OK as long as they aren't real gross. This isn't Mayberry. As far as some that border on the questionable taste dept., it's hit and miss. I'll make the decision. It's my place.

*KPIX: Don't make lots of money and get a little nervous if the head cheese doesn't like you. Unless of course you have leverage and viewers. To be fair, the latest move was not directly under the auspices of  D.R.--that was a combo special from CBS NY corporate.

*The Three Stooges: Paul Hosely, Bungey and Jared Hart.

*The KGOne cume in the July book: MIA.

*"Celebrity Chef, Ryan Scott." --Yeah, cooking on radio makes a lot of sense. Then again, it beats the hell out of Montemanure --"EIGHT-ZERO-EIGHT-ZERO EIGHT TEN!" ...and the NY witch comedienne who must be in possession of serious compromising pictures. Talk about torture.
