More angst inside the KRON Newsroom

Really, I hate to pile on...but KRON mtg. makes it difficult.

Seriously, the e-mail gripes and general malaise, not to mention the general feeling among a vast majority of the rank and file continues to come my way and the latest is only par for the core.

An insider with direct knowledge tells me... "they, (news management,) in an effort to shake things up, shuffled the producers around. The 5pm producer is going to handle the 11pm show, and the 4pm and 6pm producers switched for the week. The managers thought this change would be good to stir up ratings and prevent each show from falling into a rut."

Uh, that didn't work.

The insider continues: "Honestly, the entire station is in a rut and this move is only hurting things. Morale was already really low, but with this move the moral is moving lower still and now many of the people are pissed off. The decision to do this came right after Guingona was fired."

The newest news guru at 1001 Van Ness is already getting a good chunk of  wrath.  Executive Producer Matt Null is largely responsible for many of the latest moves at KRON. He's apparently distinguished himself not so favorably at the start.

From the insider, (who requested anonymity out of fear of retribution,)  "He is in over his head and likes to puff his chest up and exert his power. The problem is he knows very little about actually producing and can't even edit video. Morale continues to fall and Null is just another reason."

Dang, that darn morale word. It keeps coming up again. And again. And again.

**For the record, and I'm being a little repetitive here: I hold ZERO grudge against the KRON folks. I have never applied for a job there and have never desired to work there, past, present, and/or future. There is no agenda, never has been. I'm NOT a disgruntled worker, bear no animosity, nor profess to go looking for grudges.

I do have issues with bullies. And mean people who like to strut their stuff and make it miserable for people that are only there doing the very best they can do under the most difficult of circumstances. And oh am I being so diplomatic because if you only knew what else I've heard but choose not to post...yet.
