He's crafty, adept, has a superb beat on the media pulse with a bevy of clients, and from everyone you talk to in the business, is the very best contract lawyer/agent around.
He's super-agent, Don Buchwald.
His most celebrated and famous client is Howard Stern, but there are numerous others. Like, say, Ronn Owens of KGO Radio.
Buchwald negotiated Owens' multi-million dollar deal,--a contract like others, that has very specific language in it that is non-breakable. Client-friendly? Oh, yeah, then again, Buchwald's list of clients is full. Usually, you'll have to call him. He won't call you, and even then, unless you're a part of the LA-NY, (and maybe SF) media circuit, good luck being a part of his inner circle.
That he represents Owens was a major coup at the time for Ronnnno. As Owens' deal comes to end on Jan. 1, 2013, it's highly likely Buchwald's services will no longer be in the offing.
