The death knell is tolling for legacy media and its affiliates. The daily carnage of human detritus is accelerating daily. Architects of their own misery.
You can see her cube on some shots inside the newsroom and her stuff is still there so, no, I don't think she was let go. But what's going on is a mystery, particularly since she has been totally off Instagram the entire time.
Audrey's bio is still on the NBC Bay Area website thus indicating she's still with the station. Hopefully it not a serious family or health issue she's going through. She's deeply missed on the 4:30 pm newscast.
The Cumulus/Audacy merger, hopefully will result in the defenestration of the corporate slugs by subordinates that are watching their careers and stock options go up in flames.
Will love to see how Cumulus KNBR 680 The Sports Leader (really) and weak signal Audacy 95.7 The Game (got none as far as I can tell) consolidate. Not much talent on both stations I do not know who the new entity will cut. Actually, just take out annoying adolescent KNBR completely and give me 95.7 with a decent signal until it folds.
Just unfortunate one of these media giants didn’t have the foresight to hire you, Rich.

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Audrey Asistio on NBC Bay Area for some time now ... was she let go?
