Reising Replacement on KCBS is Burkhart's to Lose

  1. KCBS, is like pulling up to a beautiful home and upon entry you discover the following: The stench of urine, empty rooms devoid of furniture, loose exposed wiring, moldy water-stained sheet-rock, running overflowing toilets, rats scurrying about, with newspapers strewn everywhere and a single camping stove in the kitchen with two hard plastic chairs, black garbage bags stacked up that were never left for collection and paper plates with rotten half eaten food.

Sound about right? This is a slow ugly death. No need for a necropsy on this beast. We know how it died.

  2. KCBS "In Depth" may as well be cut too. Sure isn't like it use to be.

    1. I’ve tried reaching Mary Hughes by email about this. Can’t find a working email address for her.

  3. It’s sad to see what has happened at KCBS. But radio is pretty much dead in the Bay Area. I was lucky to work at the “ Big 3” of Bay Area AM stations: KNBR, KGO and KCBS. Eventually all 3 of my on-air jobs were
“ eliminated” to save $$$. That’s the reality of what has happened to a once vibrant industry. I feel very lucky to have worked at all three stations for a collective 27 years during some good times. Lotta great broadcasters in those stations from the 1980s through 2020 and it was quite an experience and a pleasure to work alongside many of them. I have no idea what I would tell a young person today who wanted to get into radio. Maybe: “ Buy your own radio station?” 🤣

    1. What's happened to KCBS, KGO & KFI in LA, plus the rest of these large-market powerhouses is just what's happening all over America TO America right now in the general business market w/ firings by the thousands for "efficiency" but mainly to keep/put big $$$ in the fat cat's pockets.

  4. Bukhart sucked on KGO and still sucks on KCBS. Reising can run circles around hm. I remember Nikki Mudoro lecturing him on what is reality. He is an ultra clueless liberal. Look at the profile pic, tells it all.

  5. The White House has now implemented "Podcast Row". Safe to say, that petulant, entitled children like Kaitlin Collins will be relegated to the back of the bus with the rest of the useless legacy media. Now, the evening news can no longer project its bias narrative as truth. This is the knife in the heart of the alphabet networks. You knew it was coming. Bought damn time!
