Giants All But Gone from KNBR after '25

  1. KNBR is so bad on 49ers game just waiting for time left and scores I've went to SirusXM NFL games, viola! Love it

  2. Gen Z doesn't listen to baseball, so it's part evolution and part bad broadcasters, not to mention radio hosts who don't know much about sports, besides Greg Papa.

    1. It's because of Gen Z and their short attention span that MLB had to make several rule changes recently to shorten the time of games.

    2. Greg Papa is the only one on KNBR who knows sports. JD Dixon is ok but that’s it. 95.7 the game has guys who actually know sports and know the Bay Area. If you want to hear actually sports talk then tune to 95.7. If washed up asshats and wannabe posers are your thing then listen to KNBR…while they still around

  3. Even after they signed Adames? Whose name was mispronounced by Buffoon Guiness at KCBS

    1. During ktvu’s newscast earlier this evening they referred to Willy Adames as Willy ‘Adams’

    2. YES! That was good ol' Bailey "I need a Pronunciation Guide of the Players names" O'Carroll. I see they removed her from the 49ers post game show and brough back Joe Fonzi.

  4. With powerhouses LA and SD, the Giants will be irrelevant for years to come. Time to raise the prices on garlic fries again.

    1. What are the co$ts of Garlic Fries? Asking for a friend.

    2. $15 a container and they changed the recipe. Greasy and over garlicky. Save your money or go get a Ghiradelli Hot Fudge sundae.

    3. @11:32 Thanks for the price check! I think this means 25cent potato, 35cent garlic, and $2 to prep the concoction. Rounding up, let’s just say the lowly Giants are making about $12 per order.
No wonder Charles Johnson pisses away money on his freaks Marge Green and L Boebert, among many others. We know this: the product on the field is not worth one order of garlic fries. Let alone a beer.

  5. KNBR should just hire Carmen Kiew to run the station

    1. @2:49- Oh heck naw, unless you want to hear Brandon Belt talk all day long. LOL... She really loved Brandon Belt for some reason

  6. I am watching the Niners vs Bears on TV. Really enjoy the announcers, 1,000 times better than Papa and Rockhead.

Similarly, the GIANTS on some other station than KNBR is long overdue. Having Murphy do anything is ratings Poison. FP ain’t no saint, and the various hangers on are as useless as tits on a statue.
The NINERS will soon bail on KNBR, not a minute too soon

  7. AM radio formats in general - be it news, sports, talk shows (already gone) is not long for this world. Everything eventually will be streamed and we'll have to pay a subscription fee to access what we used hear for free. Can thank Gen Z for for this due to their being the first to grow up during the internet era and developing instant
    gratification social behavior.

  8. What I am hoping is that the Giants will no longer be part of the KNBR airwaves because KNBR is a huge mess after several staff members have been laid off. The Giants should partner up with 95.7 The Game or go to Iheartradio and produce their own Giants radio network.

  9. Larry Baer obviously doesn’t care about the radio broadcasts. He’s let Jon Miller take half the season and Dave Flemming constantly go “ on assignment “. And who do they replace these guys with? An annoying single A another named Joe Ritzo and the nauseatingly annoying FP Santangelo.
These days are doing Giants baseball on the radio? We had Russ Hodges and Lon Simmins, Lindsay Nelson and Hank Greenwald, and now this dreck? Between Cumulus and Larry Baer, the Giants radio broadcast suck. ,

Spot on !! The HOF Jon Miller is SUPERB, when he’s there. Flemming is not in the same league as Miller, but he’s decent. The other guys remind me of a Lincoln Potters announcer - kinda, not really, worth a listen.
If Baer’s idea is to kill baseball on the radio, he is well on his way to killing the GIANTS

  10. Most likely games will be streamed online.

  11. It's still hard to fathom KNBR without the Giants. That's like peanut butter without jelly. LOL... Maybe the Giants work something out with KNBR after 2025?

I have no idea where else the Giants could go. Yes, there's 95.7, but 95.7 goes all out for the Warriors being that 95.7 is the Warriors flagship. The Giants get top billing on KNBR. Not sure they would get that same type of top billing on 95.7, even though Giants discussion on 95.7 overall is pretty good
