KRON THIS (Sunday) morning --not a good way to start the day.

  1. Did you try over the air? If over the air is not working, then Stephanie never show up this morning.

  2. Ever hear of maintenance? Ever hear of maintenance problems? Ever hear of technical problems? Ever hear of communications problems?

Ever hear of connecting a freaking wire antenna to your TV? (You can get one for a few dollars.)

Geez, does *anything* not bother you?

    2. 6:05, I agree with you. It was slightly interesting the first couple times but now the the whole broken record thing is just obnoxious. I’m guessing they have Tourette’s or some kind of obsessive disorder.

  4. KRON... as bad as a local cable access channel. How embarrassing! Pam... Time to retire. Vicki L... Please jump ship & come to PIX!

  5. Why can't that happen on Fox2? On another note, Eric Thomas was on KCBS this morning. The ears got a rest from the realtor who can't operate an audio board.

    1. Maybe the realtor was at KRON?

  6. Retrans issue with a very specific provider. Happens occasionally but seems to happen more frequently with KRON.

  8. I've seen this on my Comcast cable; it's happened on a lot of networks. It's always reassuring to know that they're working with the "owner" of Nextstar orf CBS or FOX or anyone else.. they'll roll up their sleeves and get to the bottom of this.

  9. Also happens quite frequently with the MLB Network, which I happen to watch much more often than our local channels.

  10. Just remember, KOFY TV20 is still a "Grit" Network!!

  11. What do you expect? Another minor league operation in a city that deserves better. KRON TV news has been a joke for a long time but KTVU has fallen even further. Rich, your daily musings are spot-on. Local broadcast media sounds like amateur hour with minor league talent being paid peanuts by these mega- corporate jerks who could care less about quality or public service. Sadly, anyone under the age of 35 gave up listening to radio or watching TV news over ten years ago when the digital media became prominent. Now broadcasters have their own Facebook and Instagram pages and spend more time responding to brainless tripe on Twitter than they do actually reporting news.

  12. So glad the Giants TV broadcasts no longer feature ‘Amy G.’ She was constantly annoying with her frequent appearances during games where she did those amateur hour fan interviews. The
Woman also showed absolutely no improvement, even after working on the broadcasts for some 12 years. Crappy valley girl voice and inane questions that sounded as if they came from a seventh grader.. Baseball fans who wanted to watch the games gnashed their teeth when Kuiper and Krukow broke away and went to her and her whiny voice.

  13. I would consider this a good thing.

  14. KGO radio was on & off the air this past weekend as well, quite a few of the early morning hours. Perhaps transmission tower work somewhere affected both KRON tv and KGO radio.

  15. KGO radio died several years ago when Cumulus fired almost all of their news staff . They have Mikky Medora, who is embarrassingly bad, anchoring their morning show. There is virtually NO news or sports. Not surprising when you see who is in charge. A local bird-brain named Lee Hammer rubber stamps everything Cumulus wants. Lee Hammer has zero people skills and no qualifications for this job. Wait a minute, it’s Cumulus which is known for hiring low grade talent and management who is at fault, so I guess ww shouldn’t be too hard on Hammer. He’s unswervingly loyal to them because no other station in the market would probably hire this boob.
