Kevin Walsh, out of the blue, is retiring from CBS-SF. He splits at the wnd of the month. There's more to this story, I'll try to figure it out later.
Was he the guy who's been telling Elizabeth Cook to laugh more, and mug for the camera? It's off-putting.
No surprise. The new heads of the CBS Stations group have been systematically replacing GMs and News Directors all over the country.
Local TV news sucks. Local radio sucks. Local newspapers suck. There's a trend here, don't ya think? Sad times.
That's because we have all these wonderful "news amalgamators" that repackage what's already on the internet, try to sell it to you (when most of the time it's already free) and siphon off advertising dollars for basically doing nothing.
