Memo to Circle7 Tommy and Trixie
Most TV General Managers, especially those inked by te Mouse, can't speak publicly about Trump, the Giants, Global Warming, or anything else, even Rich Lieberman, without Disney O and O approval.
ITS IN THE FUCKING EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT!
Every ABC 7/KGO-TV GM, from Russ Coughlin to Joe Ahern and beyond the grave KNEW THAT!

Every ABC 7/KGO-TV GM, from Russ Coughlin to Joe Ahern and beyond the grave KNEW THAT!
Ahern's only big moment was getting shitfaced and pissing on shoes during the St. Patty's Parade.
It appears, ABC 7, GM Tom "Tommy Boy" Cibrokwsi is also now pissing in his adult diaper, poised for Southwest one way to Burbank HQ... for FUCKING with the Mouse. And me both directly and indirectly, what a fine coincidence.
Sources tell me Cibrokwsi was blindsided by ND Tracey "Trixie" Watkowski. (smart enough not to sign the petition) In a well organized Palace coup. She encouraged Tommy Boy knowing full well the shit-storm would land on Tommy.
Behind his back, Trixie and her legions paint Tommy Boy as a steak house buffoon and this FUCK--UP will grease her way to the GM corner office. It's ruthless. It's a power grab. It's so Trixie.
It doesn't FUCKING MATTER.
In the meantime, congrats Trix, you outwitted ole Tommy C at my expense.

well he could have done it Russ Coughlin style...via a regular on air commentary in the community interest.
ReplyDeletebut well played Rich fascinating developments
Wow!! Well done, Rich, I'm proud that you are "immortalized" in contract-speak. Am looking forward to seeing who else falls ... VDLC? She can fall into my lap, but okay ...
ReplyDeleteNot being allowed to speak about the Hairpiece includes not being allowed to speak about his donors, media pals (including Sinclair, who sadly is tight with a few Mouse execs, as proven by their partnership at Redding's ABC7), and Evangelicals. Anybody behind the country's first despot cannot be spoken about. Makes it a little harder to protect one's votes, even rural conservatives whose medical prescriptions rely on the same USPS as most voters may have to. Contract or no contract, free speech seems harder for free press to access.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the late great Russ Coughlin - the Double Gold Standard for simultaneous KGO, TV and Radio. Amazing man forever missed.
With all the crap going on at every station, it's time to blow everything up...blow up Bay Area TV news as we know it. Get rid of all high-priced and long-time employees (anchors and reporters)...and get some fresh blood in here. Bring in the mid-market kids. Bring them in on a cheaper salary...keep them around for about 10-years...and then get rid of them, for another round of talent.
ReplyDeleteHonestly...who needs high-priced "news" talent anymore? Everyone now has access to social media, hundreds of cable/streaming outlets...and with everyone now possessing good-quality videos on smartphones and cheap drag-and-drop editing software on laptops.
To expand it further--on the other side--who the hell needs media relations/public relations staff anymore? Our own President/POTUS uses Twitter so goddamn much, he has no need for his Press Secretary.
TV news viewership is way down. Newspapers are dwindling in this country. News Radio is all but extinct--relegated to only the largest cities--and listenership is way down in these markets. The whole media/news dispersal model needs to be blown up.
