Dion Lim |
TRULY I'd love to like Dion Lim at KGO-TV; she has all the qualities of a first-rate anchor but her robot-like presentation and weird voice inflections turn me off. It's like watching a machine; there's no connection there. I may be harsh but it's just me. Maybe only me.
My contacts at ABC7 all say Lim is a "very nice lady" and quite friendly. Great, she looks nice, I just think she doesn't warm up as an anchor. It's just my take. I wish Lim would try to be more engaging and sincere because all those go out the door when I watch her. It's nothing personal just my observation and I've watched her quite a bit. Sometimes it takes a while to warm up to the audience and if so, maybe in time, Lim will become more watchable.
She's straight up unwatchable. Her voice sounds like a cartoon character. Sorry Rich i doubt things are going to get better. I'm glad to hear she's a nice person but maybe better in at small market station.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. When she is out in the field doing a fun + happy story then you see how awesome of a person Dion is and her true personality
DeleteI like Dion Lim, but I agree that her voice sometimes seems haywire! But to me, the most annoying thing about her is those DANG PAINTED ON EYEBROWS!!! I mean, why do women pluck out their eyebrows, and then paint them on? Do they really think men like that? I mean, c'mon now! But regarding Dion Lim's eyebrows, they are NEVER even, which makes them even more annoying!
ReplyDeleteShe sounds strange because she talks with her teeth closed a very large percentage of the time. Close your teeth and say something, then open your teeth and say the same thing...hear the difference. Watch her teeth, you don't hear any "deep" tones because her teeth are closed most of the time.
DeleteDon't forget, you only have to brush the teeth you want to keep!
Rosemary this morning in her black dress, now you know why I refer to her as a "symmetrical goddess," absolute feminine perfection at it's fineness! Extra special...always will be!
God help the person who can't stand their own company.
The Women Are The News.
Women make up their faces and style their hair and choose their clothes to impress other women, not to please men.
Delete@12:49 AM "The Women Are The News." In your head. In reality, the news is the news.
Delete7:28...Agreed, the News "is" the News. The Women "are" the News. I prefer the "are" News. Actually two different entities, or self-contained existence.
DeleteThe Women Are The News is an organizational command prompt and it's intentions are now being accepted and implemented. You can see the results. Thank you ladies...you are extra special!
Therefore...The Women Are The News.
The Women are the icing on the newscake...the best part. More recent examples, Rosemary Sat. morning in her black dress

DeleteThey are definitely not painted on. Stop spreading lies
DeleteYou're right, Rich. Notice the difference between Lim's anchoring, and when through Spencer Christian's interview questions on the 4PM Thursday newscast, she was very engaging in promoting her book. The flaws that RL addresses? Lim confesses to the differences between what she shares with her book/on the street and how she anchors. Will she ever bridge the gap? I don't know. Will the Circle Management clowns let her bridge the gap? No surprise either way.
ReplyDeleteYou are so RIGHT ON Rich!!!. I thought from day one that she came across as being VERY ODD. When she's on, I won't watch the news cast. Who she is , is what we get. Things aren't going to change for the better for her.
ReplyDeleteShe has no personality and sounds like a wind-up doll with a flat monotone voice. I hope she lets us see the real DL.
ReplyDeleteI like her and she's very cute
ReplyDeleteDion is the real deal! She’s a true professional and a perfect role model
ReplyDeleteA true professional? Didn't see that during the coverage
Deleteof the shootings at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. She was
woefully inept as the lead in the studio.
I am quite shocked for all the negativity in here. Dion is a true asset for the Bay Area and brings nothing but positivity into the room!
ReplyDeleteI like her too and I think she is awesome AND cute.
ReplyDeleteAll the negativity about Dion was started by Rich Lieberman...and this goes back a long time...
ReplyDeleteI've been commenting negatively about her ever since first seeing her anchoring the news. I though she was fine out in the field before that but she's simply unwatchable and especially, unlistenable. I always turn the channel away when she's on.
DeleteIt's funny that a little while after she started anchoring I got a survey request, I forget from where. But it was a video of her anchoring and after watching it, the survey asked questions about her performance. I've never seen that with anyone else.
if only she had Blond Hair....then the World would be fine!!
ReplyDeleteI'm only a casual local news viewer but I agree with Rich about Dion Lim. I find her painful to watch. Her on air voice sounds like nails on a chalk board and she comes across as very fake on air. Hard to understand how Lim has an anchor chair in the SF market. I also feel like her wardrobe looks like Marshall's quality.
ReplyDeleteNow you really have no credibility. Dion is one of the best dressed out there. BAD TAKE
DeleteThis last comment sounds a lot to me like Dion complementing herself (eye roll).
