| She's Back: Natasha Zouves |
KGO-TV (ABC7) Morning Anchor, Natasha Zouves; out nearly a year due to an injury; she slipped on a can of hair mousse-- (reported by 415 Media) is coming back to the 900 Front Street Studios, I've learned through a Circle7 source.
Zouves will be back later this week but there's a whole lot of angry people who think her injury and subsequent almost-year long layoff was put forward by Zouves herself because she wanted a reprieve from the staff. They pretty much hate here, it's that simple.
My source told me most people at the studio believe Zouves got a paid disability (with help from her father who is a doctor) as a means of clearing her head and away from staff who detest her actions and drama. What did KGO management do? Nothing, essentially.
ABC was wary of a lawsuit from Zouves and basically had no choice but to give her her job back and so mission accomplished, if you believe the morning diva. ABC had no choice.
I will monitor the situation. Because I care.
I say move her to weekend mornings. However, this could anger the talented and professional Lisa Argen. What the hell, keep her on weekday mornings. No one watches them anyway. Another reason why we all need to get our news from Fox News Channel. Yes, sign of the Apocalypse.

DeleteDear God, does she take "her place" back from Jessica? I'd rather have Jessica there than the Zouv. I thought the duo of Jessica and Alexis reading the copy was probably the best combo of the morning personalities they have. Although, it would be interesting to see Reggie and the Zouv on Day 1 of her return. I bet the temperature in the studio drops 10 degrees in the first 15 min. I may record the first few minutes just to see how they explain her absence. Oh yeah, she was "on assignment"!! Good vibes, Rich!
ReplyDeleteWow Rich! This is probably one of the best reasons for people to read your blog, because you get scoops like this! Quite frankly, I am shocked that she is coming back! I thought KGO could actually legally let her go after 6 months of being on workman's comp? They basically revamped the morning show, with Jessica Castro moving into the co-anchor slot, so now I guess, she goes back to the "Live News Desk". This is fascinating to me! But, I do like Natasha Zouves, so I will be glad to see her again. Sorry about that, Rich!

ReplyDeleteThere's a Zouves Fertility Center in Foster City run by Dr Christo George Zouves. Natasha must be a nature girl if the family is so into the birds and bees.
ReplyDeleteIf her dad's a doctor it seems like she's just another little rich girl trying to make it in the city. Cut her some slack Rich, she got good DNA for looks, but for brains - not so much.
ReplyDeleteLooking at that picture makes me sick. I cannot believe she is coming back using her shorty ways. The new Morning ads support Reggie, Kristen and Jessica and anything with Natasha was replaced by Jessica. Jessica must be extremely pissed right now she is coming back feeling used by KGO filling in for her and getting a lot of favorite viewers and fans. But, when she team up with Dion last week, I actually wanted Jessica to get her anger treating Dion Lim like crap on camera stealing her spot and raising her voice like she is the new Morning Anchor and not respecting other reporters.
ReplyDeleteI already knew from DAY 1 something is not right getting her a main anchor job with a newbie with lack of experience and dare to team up with veteran Dan Ashley for one week. Like other said, rich people with connections. If Trixie can stay, not surprised she and Reggie will stay forever feeling lawsuit against the station can come when she has medical reasons on leave and Reggie, just search his incredible info and you know why. For Ama and Kristen, they better protect themselves cause a Richie princess can take over at anytime.
Please bake 50 dozen cookies returning back, put tons of WELCOME BACK ads every commercial break with hugs and tears LIVE on camera from Reggie, Jessica and morning crew.

Her Chinese mother is the doctor, the father is a fertility doctor earning the real big $$$ in rich South Bay and a clinic with an autistic brother from the rich to not too perfect.

ReplyDeleteOutstanding job Rich!!!! I,like many others were thinking she's gone!!!! I'm guessing that she wanted a job in L.A., but couldn't get one???? She's returning to a.m. circle 7 with her tail between her legs. It will be interesting going forward to hear what you have to say about this drama.

ReplyDeleteI did enjoy Natasha as lead but was hoping Alexis would move up a bit. Though a lil rough shes improved at the desk and I feel the vibes are better with Alexis and crew vs Jessica and she seems least creeped out by Nicco's oddball interjections.
ReplyDeleteNatasha, even the name is beautiful! I have never seen a woman as photogenic as she is, doing our local News. Her beauty "trumps" any defect she might have, but I have seen none.
ReplyDeleteI can understand the hatred. If ever there was a woman who can reiterate what I heard a Victoria swimsuit model say, "It's not always easy being a beautiful woman," it's Natasha.
There are beautiful women, gorgeous women and photogenic women. Very few women have all three, Natasha is one of those!
So let the hatred and the jealously cards be played...I understand! She is beyond "extra special," it comes with the territory.
The women are the News, always will be!!

Frankly, her co-workers sound to be stewing in a petty, raging jealousy. She isn't responsible for their inadequacies which they are further complicating by their hateful envy.
ReplyDeleteMy only real problem with Natasha has always been that she dresses as if she's on her way to a cocktail party, at 4:30 in the morning! She's certainly a huge improvement over Jessica Castro, whose tongue-tied sourpuss I'd LOVE to never see again, anywhere, any time of any day. Alexis is my favorite, but she seems too busy being pregnant and/or on maternity leave to be a full-time co-anchor. So I'd be glad to see Natasha return, if she'd just ditch the flashy jewelry, flowing hair, smoky eye make-up, and sleeveless low-necked dresses.
ReplyDeleteI can not believe so many remarks about the ignorance of Workers Comp laws. You can not fire someone when they get hurt at work unless you can prove fraud! OMG...Secondly if you study Natasha's bio here and from SoCal, this is an educated woman who has an excellent on air presentation. If all this hate really goes on at KGO she would be well to find a new place for her talent. (Not dissing Jessica as she has a good on air product too.)

You can't go home again! I like Jessica and it appears they had a happy cohesive team. Now they all seem stiff and Natash, as usual thinks everything in the news is about her. I say find another job Natasha. You are not in the right place.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Natasha is back. I stopped watching a few weeks after she hurt herself because I couldn't stand Reggie's snarkiness and I know everything attitude. And Jessica is turning into a mini Reggie, just a mean girl when she used to be nice.
