BAY AREA TV NEWS STATIONS SWITCH TO 'ACTIVE' SHOOTING SCENE at YOUTUBE HDQS in San Bruno...
*KGO-TV; KPIX; KTVU; KNTV all have reporters/copters on scene.
*KRON sticks to infomercials but at 1: 51 cut to Vicki Liviakis in studio.
*KCBS Radio covering YouTube shooting; KGO Radio picking up CNN coverage.
*Developing story...
Gabe Slate was live at the scene for Kron 4.
ReplyDeleteKron decided to kill some people who weren't even dead in a tweet. How are they not held accountable for such shoddy reporting?
ReplyDeleteKCBS seemed taken off guard. CNN was updating more quickly than KCBS!! Sad state of affairs.
ReplyDelete"What's Happening and Why" That is quoted at the top of every hour on KCBS 106.9 and 740AM. But NOT today!!!!
DeleteSo, my thinking goes like this: It was a known fact that the HR department took a late lunch in the patio cafe. The lady shooter was pissed for missing a promotion. She blamed HR and decided to get even.
ReplyDeleteMainstream media? Who needs them?
KRON was first with the girlfriend piece of news
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed KGO radio even knew what to do...
ReplyDeletedidnt hear KGO assume they had heather the penguin's emotional traffic reporting and mikki the moron who think she is a serious journalist, while also disscusing her bathroom habits and sex life every day
ReplyDeleteAnd Ronn was talking about wine. (I know prerecorded. But that's when someone should skip the canned programming and be able to stay live with the news)
ReplyDeleteThis was still being reported as "Breaking News" during the evening/nighttime news.
ReplyDeleteNo reason to watch the breaking news. Wait a few hours until they have the FACTS correct. Good lord, I saw everything from "it was domestic violence and the lady shot her boyfriend" to a slew of different peoples pictures responsible across multiple platforms. ALL wrong.
ReplyDeleteIn this "rush for coverage" they always get soooo much wrong. Wait a few hours, let the facts sort themselves out.
Just the facts, maaan.
KGO has to use CNN. What a joke. Why doesn't KGO sell its frequency to the same group that bought 610 AM? If having duplicity is good for commercial radio stations, why not for God?
ReplyDeleteThe reporting was bad. 4 werw sent to sf general and 5 were taken to Stanford. She went after her boyfriend. CNN was the first with the actual correct information.
ReplyDeleteAs a consumer of Bay Area news, I take everything reported with a grain of salt. Needless to say, I'm very dehydrated by the end of the day.
