KNTV (NBC Bay Area) First On-Air With Ed Lee Passing

Related image I SHOULD HAVE posted that NBC Bay Area's anchor, Raj Mathai and reporter, Cheryl Hurd, were on the air, live, early Tuesday reporting the Ed Lee passing.

I was so riveted by KCBS's coverage I didn't bother to turn on my TV but caught enough coverage later to see what was taking place.

  1. Meanwhile, KRON4 was airing infomercials for erectyle dysfunction. What about Reggie Boy on ABC7? He gets his tight little ass in at 0200, doesn't he?

  2. If Raj was white, he'd be kicked to the curb long ago.

  3. I'm sorry, but there's no journalistic expertise required to report that someone has had a heart attack and died.

  4. The best coverage in San Francisco comes from a station in San Jose.

  5. You have said it before, being first does not matter. Getting it right and doing a good job does.

  6. You should also commend KCBS for broadcasting the ENTIRE Celebration of Ed Lee's Life at City Hall yesterday. It was wonderful and sad to hear, but without interruptions, only background mention of the next speaker's name, they did a real public service and a real tribute to Mayor Lee.
