What we have here is BROADCAST MALPRACTICE --perpetrated by some numb nuts who have NO CLUE on how to run a radio station.
YES, I know, KGO is on life support and barely registers a pulse, I get it. I'm not going to reinvent the wheel but I AM GOING TO CALL THEM OUT and not let them get way with it. PROMISE.

ReplyDeleteI miss those tabloid magazines. They used to be in the supermarkets, but I haven't seen them in a long time. I would never spend my money on them, but I would chuckle just reading the covers.
DeleteDitto re Bearman ("healthy diet preacher") with his nasally voice and laughing sidekick, although Chipper (who knows everyone in the world) and his sidekick(s) are too close to call. The worst part is that Bearman has a recorded/repeat show in the prime 7 pm to 10 pm timeslot. Can't make this chit up.

Ethan Bearman was off today, thank God, Ronn did one hour of Ethan's show, Brian did the other. Almost all of Ronn's show was devoted to Charlottesville, and Brian's first 2 hours was as well. I know Rich don't care for either one, but for the most part I think they did a good job. I listened a little to Tom Sullivan he is more conservative, but balanced, and he gets interesting callers. I listen to 2 minutes of Michael Savage, he did call the young man who killed a women with his car a murder, other than that his reaction was predictable. I didn't listened long enough to really judge his show, but I'm almost 100 percent certain he was calling for more balance in the news, and siting left wing protesters and violence coming from the left. Typical Savage. Also Pat Thurston had John on last night, and they did a terrific hour, in Pat's second hour she had the historian Kenneth C Davis on, altogether an interesting hour.
ReplyDelete3:23, the tabloids are still there, only sandwiched between either women's magazines, candy, or batteries, perhaps a Coca-Cola or Dasani fridge here or there. And thanks to the Hairpiece, the tabloids - and the Cloud Clowns that run KGO Radio - remain prevalent. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Pat and John can do news is Cumulus/KGO literally doesn't care what they do. The joke of a PD cares about weekdays as he should, but those are doing terribly. He can't care much about the weekend and until Cumulus cuts the weekend pay he won't bother them. Never expect a change.

ReplyDeleteI found something that might help Ethan's producer/co-host(who thinks she's a hyena.) A very informative website that might help her realize that she needs help for her subconscious mental issues. There used to be a place for people who cannot stop inappropriate laughing like her, it was called the funny-farm, for people who just could not control themselves and just annoyed anyone within earshot. KGO management, if they ever listen to this show might get her treatment if they realized that people are tuning out in droves because this show is truly unlistenable.
