I added KPFA to my preset buttons. Its great in small doses. Like being in 1970 again. KCBS is good. But,isn't the bay area big enough for two news channels? You post a lot of hate for Brian Copeland at KGO. I don't get why. He sounds more like the bay are I grew up around then anybody else. Diverse friends, most of them Democrats no matter what their color..blue collar. I listen to him when I can. The only people who talked like KSFO people where I grew up were either old,old,bigots..or younger who whispered what they thought because they would get an ass kicking if they talked about purging people out loud among the rest of what KSFO poison goes out to the public. Why is the bay area demographics ignored by big bizz?
I posted under the wrong topic, and my question got no reaction. My fault, I should have waited. The topic that day was Amy G.,something I have no interest in one way or another. I care nothing about sports.
What I want to know is how likely is it that Red Eye Radio could be broadcasted during the early evening vs overnight? It's one of the very few good talk shows that has not yet been buck shot and field dressed by the Media Moguls. Secondly, any chance on Coast 2 Coast with Noory returning to terrestrial radio? Thank you & Merry Christmas to you all.
I listen to Red Eye Radio at 10 pm Pacific Standard Time by using a wifi radio tuned to WABC New York. Buy yourself one for Christmas. It will open up a whole new world in radio listening. Mine is a Logitec from Best Buy.
Not a big Red Eye radio fan like most of the stuff on KSFO. They talk a good game from the Cons point of a view but are total condescending jerks when a Lib calls in. You can pull in Noory's show on 640 KFI out of LA late at night. KGO should maybe pick him up and drop John Batchelor who probably gets zero ratings.
Interesting. All these format changes from the Breeze to KOSF have helped their ratings this last year, not KGO of course. It's getting grim for them. All this "talent" they have to pay and the ratings suck.
Happy Holidays Rich. You are wrong about KNBR and their ratings drop from losing the Warriors PBP. Except for the actual game itself (hardly anyone listens to basketball on radio, their coverage with Tolbert, Kerr and even Fitzgerald (who is calling the game that most are watching) remains. It is the same pattern following the baseball season, if anything the winter drop is a reflection of the sorry 49ers more than anything. Who wants to listen to Niners talk?
Agree...all about Baseball, only the most extreme Basketball fans listen to games on the radio. The sport works great on TV and live, but not on the radio.
No ratings info on 860 AM the Answer? Probably pretty bad. It's a milder version of the nasty Hate Radio on 560. Might as well put another Green 960 on instead. They were getting like a .8 rating before it was dumped. Us Libs need something to listen to. You Cons got it all and it's quite depressing. Still got MSNBC but the rating are struggling some since Chump's upset.

DeleteC2C is on KSRO 1350 @ 10pm. BTW,KSRO is also the North Bay home of the Warriors
DeleteAnd on Xmas Day, KBAY goes to a Classic Hits format. Wonder if the ratings will fair for them...

ReplyDeleteIf KNBR dropped due to the loss of The Warriors, then 95.7 The Game must have jumped tremendously.
ReplyDeleteHas The breeze 98.1 gained on KOIT?
Is Renel going to do mornings at Bay 94.5?
Why is Melissa Caen working as a reporter on KPIX? She's more wooden than Pinocchio!
