Being 'Foxified'

Image result for Foxified THINK OF IT AS BEING IN A SORT OF CULT; You come to work and remain within your boundaries; you get your assignment and go about your business with the utmost loyalty to the company; The Firm; you don't dare deviate the least from your work at hand; remember, you work for FOX, you are in the process of being deprogrammed and you don't even know it--they (management) like it that way, after all, when you've become Foxified, you have sealed the deal. Now, you're one of us.

Foxified, what does that mean, what does that entail, how does one know they've become certified into the club known as a FOX station? Foxiification, the actual process itself is layers upon layers of deprogramming. It involves numerous literal and figurative actions. Once you foxite, you become mum to the rest of the public, including your own family and friends. You are totally beholden to the Firm, er, company. You smile even when the camera is off and headed to the break room. You bring cakes and cookies for the staff in the early wee hours of the morning. In turn, you get smile widgets from the interns, future Foxites. You display a sincere, new look and passionate stare at the lady in the 49ers jersey who happens to be a guest on the roundtable even if there's a big fire going on in Santa Rosa.

You are never allowed to talk, not to even close friends or associates. You even think of gossiping --harmlessly, you fear the wrath of the big boss. He's head of The Firm. Cross him and you might as well gather your things and have a cold one at Overland updating your resume. SMILE hard, harder, faster. Dress yourself right too. Be happy even if you're sad around the suits and skirts. Tell the ND how "great" she is even if she's not always great. Compliment the GM and tell him "this job is more important than my family!" But don't stop there. Tell him you always value being a "team player" and that even if it meant posting sweet nothings about your family on Facebook, you'll do it. You almost have to because if you're a team player, then you'll do whatever it takes. Remember, too, to always keep that smile going.

Don't forget also when your work is done and you retreat for home to maintain your demeanor --there's plenty of time later on in life when you either get fired, quit, retire, to go back to civilian life and live again. Not now, because as a Foxified employee, you're committed to one thing and one thing only, your work and your boss. SMILE. Be creative. This doesn't have to be a chore, remember you're a TEAM PLAYER. SMILE. Talk like a pirate. And be sure to ask a lot of questions even if the questions make no sense. Give cookies and chocolates to the young staff --they like that. They ADORE your smile plus you'll get brownie points from the boss because, in essence, you are programming future members of the Foxite club, how cool is that?! Don't lose the steam, go post something about this on Facebook. Immediately! And don't forget to SMILE!

Aar!

  1. Interesting fantasy but no explanation of what these unsupported claims are based on.

Is this supposed to be journalism or just fiction writing?

    1. The boogy man commith, fish will walk, and that stock market continues to kick ass. There are plenty of fun FOX stations in the chain. That BA FOX outlet came with some sticky attitude and labor problems.

If the employees would quit being jerk-offs, this whole FOX Unity project would go much more painlessly.

Some FOX stations have free coffee, clean restrooms and covered parking. KSAZ in PHX is a prime example of a fine FOX propriety. People have fun there, they love FOX.
Just follow directions,be upbeat, post to SM often, and don't spread tales or lies.

Remember that those snotty kids at KRON are looking for jobs, so if you all don't behave...we will get Stanley Roberts in here and do a few intense MMJ workshops for anchors.

    1. That wouldn't fit with Rich's bias tho. You have to blame those mean old Republican right wingers for everything thats wrong with the world. That is after you're done crying and stomping your feet because Hillary didn't win and the worst president in modern history is leaving.

    2. I like Rich but don't think he understands it isn't the United States of San Francisco.

The real power is down in the oil patch. That always seems to drive the lefties nuts. They can be as crazy as they want but it won't change anything. We need energy to grow and they have it, period.

There is serious talk of merging the seventeen research labs into the DoD given that they do mostly defense work anyway and there's a serious swamp about to be drained at DoE. That's a major part of what this is about. Environmentalism is a secular religion on the left. The bureaucrats feel threatened and are very much involved in getting their buddies in academia to turn the crank for them. If they can't keep the party together in the out years, they'll end up like the Whigs.

The worst President in modern history left office in 2008. The incoming president has a good chance of inheriting this title.

    1. False. Barack Obama will Be the only President in history to never have a year of 3% GDP growth. Terrible any way you look at it.

    2. Anybody can play games with stats. I'll counter your less than 3% GDP with under 5% unemployment. See how easy that was?

    3. Growth has been near zero for most of the last ten years because it has been that long since we have needed a new tax code. It wouldn't have mattered who was President. I'm worried about what happens when the new law is passed, all that cash comes back here and we end up with inflation. Yellen's raising rates will help to stave that off.

It was just as I said all along. When Ohio and Florida were called, Obama told Hillary to concede and her sending Podesta to do the dirty deed tells me more about what's wrong with the party and how long they will be in the wilderness than most people would ever want to know. Four years from now, it will happen again just as Nixon's squeaker in 1968 begat McGovern's pounding in 1972. They're libs. They're weak, chronically angry and emotionally unstable. Stephanie Miller has more screws loose than a Studebaker and she is one of their talk radio standard bearers. Sarah Silverman has been in and out of rehab for about half of her life and she's one of those Hollywood trots out to go divergent in all three axes when it's time to stir the pot. Most people are just sick of it and sick of them.

In normal times, these people are unelectable outside of the coasts and that is precisely what we saw this year and will see two and four years from now. Time to rebuild, will take at least ten years.

  4. Stan, sometimes I enjoy your comments. But what the hell man? What is your obsession with Radnich/KRON/KNBR? If you don't like them, don't watch and/or listen. It's that simple. This is psychopathic behavior.

    1. And his terrible grammar like he's posting on here using his elbows on his phone keyboard doesn't help.

  5. Think of Foxification as Scientology and it will all become clear. And, once again, the viewers suffer.
