Informal 415 Media Poll; A Quick Spiel; And Yes, a Pledge Break

Image result for 415 media not supported You come here to read about Bay Area Media; TV/Radio/Print/Digital --I've tried my best to provide you a forum where the content is informative, edgy, unedited, and a place where you won't get the material you desire --nobody does what I do. Nobody, not a soul. Not a place.

But I want to do more and also try to get you the inside information you are seeking.

Speaking of which...here's an informal poll: What do want here? Tell me the type of stories you like and dislike.

People want more "Ask Rich" but while popular, it requires a lot of time. I'm sorry I can't be around for all your questions but I try my best to answer most.

One last thing: I ask for contributions and donations because I depend on them and need them so I can pay my bills and be up to par. I'm not ashamed of that: you get what you pay for. This is not the most polished media site but for a one-man show I do my best and try to keep up to par. Of course I'm not perfect; who/what is? So bear in mind when I do a pledge break (and their not that frequent) I really do need the funds to keep going. And I'm not the only one asking for donations, ever heard of RSN (Reader Supported News) OK, I made my point.

So, please, if you like to read 415 Media, contribute. It's like, what, 2 bucks a month? I rest my case.

  1. Less sports and radio; more TV-news gossip.

More frequent posts from you - like maybe four a day, every day.

Better opportunities for dialog, perhaps a forum like phpBB's?

  2. "I've tried my best to provide you a forum where the content is informative, edgy, unedited..."

Unedited... unless you count all the comments you censor. I know I would have no problem donating if you didn't pick and choose the comments you publish. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

  3. I like the idea of a forum. There are some free forum hosting services around that can help.

But... It would make more work for Rich as he would need to be on top to keep the forum from turning into mayhem unless some trusted moderators are found. This is compared to the current method of him approving each reply on the blog.
