Big 'Secret Meeting' at KRON Next Week by Senior Nexstar Execs; Let the Rumors Begin

Image result for KRON Nextstar Nexstar senior execs have planned a "secret meeting" at KRON next week to discuss?....well, there's a SF Bay-size amount of rumors making the rounds locally about what they'll be discussing and perhaps moving on.

415 Media has learned the execs will be bringing financial disclosures at the big powwow indicating this day-long affair will not be devoted to crab-dip recipes.

We'll of course be monitoring and get you all the meat and potatoes --if there is any and we think there is. As they say, stay tuned.

    1. His wife would want that!..Anchor,sweep floors, work 25 hour shifts... just add to the paycheck and keep him out of the house where she can do what ever she does when he's gone. Like spend.
He can retire at 95 or so.

  6. FYI, the meeting is about employee benefits and it's not a secret. the staff was informed of the meeting weeks ago. KRON will not go away the way you think, it my become something else but it will not go under. You can take that to the bank!!

  7. Thank Goodness without KRON 4, viewers will no longer hear a crazy reporter shouting on TV LIVE and exposing themselves to get ratings. I agree with Rich, Gasia is starting to act like Ms. Folsom.

  8. Nexstar=Death(Benefits)star: They will take one full week off your annual vacation time (5 now goes down to 4, 4 now goes down to 3, 3 now goes down to 2 - all contracted time starts over); a few "holidays" will no longer be holidays; Spousal/family health insurance comes with a STEEP additional fee, while your own insurance costs will shock you. This is there way of saying "Welcome to the future of being part of Nexstar, it will not be business as you have experienced, and we WILL BE PROFITABLE" Already announced at other takeover locations

  9. I was at Pacificon today and met one of the engineering guys who was recently laid off from KTVU. The place is in a free fall - same thing we're hearing from Rich. KRON is toast, a matter of time until it is gone. He didn't have a lot to say about KPIX.

  11. 11:34pm...I can now sleep peacefully knowing I won't have to worry about where I would have to tune in to to see live paid infomercials masquerading as news content. How many underpaid employees are left there anyway? I thought Debra Chambers had pretty much run off all the youngens she low balled in the first place. Bandwidth auction anyone?

  12. I don't think I've watched more than 5 minutes straight of KRON the last 10+ years. Never cared for Raddy, and the broadcast just looks bad, like some small operation from a station in Bakersfield or Butte, Montana.

  13. Rich,
Is there any chance ABC/Disney purchasing KRON, dumping the news staff, but keeping Astacio, Heenan and Liviaksis, and use the KGO news staff? As it is now, KRON programming is weak so anything is an improvement from the status quo.
