KNBR's Anti-Union Radnich Tells Producer Frat Boy To 'Get a Real Job; KSFO Off The Air For Over 2 Hours; Justin Wittmayer Responsible For Hiring Knibber Guy Who Likes To Talk About His Penis; Has Frequent Lunches With Ronnnnnnnnnnnn; Reggie (Donnie) News at Circle7; Thursday Potent Potables

Bentley man, Gary Radunich of KNBR
GARY RADNICH was in the KNBR studio on Wednesday morning --the same day as the big, pro-union rally was about to start --when one of the dudes complaining about Cumulus Indonesian wages encountered the great, family man ...the guy with the black Bentley laughed at him; said Raddy: "You guys (KNBR) should consider a 'real job'" (nervous laughter)...silence from the producer who was later chided on the air, big time, from the man who cheated on his first wife and liked to drive the Tenderloin not too long ago...

Justin Wittmayer
*GOD must be a liberal, at least in the Bay Area. As I write this, right-wing talker, KSFO has been off the air for well over an hour...Bad news: dead air. Good news? No train whistles and the traffic chick uttering the daily annoyances like, "The CHP is waiting for a tow truck." (Every five minutes we hear this) and the ever ad-nauseum, "Keep your eye out, blah, blah, blah..."

*It was a SF Cumulus suit named Justin Wittmayer that was responsible for the hiring of the moron in the afternoon on Knibber who still likes to talk about his penis and thinks he's a regular George Carlin.

The UNTOLD STORY: his partner, Tom Tolbert, is already disgusted with having to sit near him and falsely crack up over his dumb and inane "jokes." This is a total disaster looking at the Bleeder.

*Wittmayer supposedly likes to call himself, "JWitt" --maybe nitwit? He fits the Cumulus hiring model so, so well: White, 40ish, boyish looks, and destined for Boise if he plays his cards right. Oh, and of course, who do you think Witty loves to schmooze with? The mattress man, extraordinaire, Ronnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Owens. Ronnnnn likes to take JWitt out to lunch at the North Beach Restaurant. They talk a lot, reminisce ...chow down the cool Cumulus stories in the city....like this one recent story about the SF Cumulus talk host who was propositioned countless times by some crazy-ass female broad who was having an affair with some higher-up guy who ended up being fired himself. She too. But not before they both fired the talk-show host who could have made a small fortune had he met with an attorney, but anyway...

*Armstrong and Getty are going to the RNC in Cleveland --alert the hookers!

Reggie Aqui
*That Reggie Aqui, part of Donnie and Marie at KGO-TV is sort of detested by the staffers--says a longtime KGO source: "He (Aqui) treats other staffers like dirt and complains about people to management."

Ah, come on now, Reggie will chill, just find him a good hockey player.

KNBR's Murph and Mac
*Ah, those loveable dudes, Murph and Mac are bad enough; the inanity has never been worse, the fact they continue to TALK over EACH OTHER! But hey, life is good for the duo: they're about to host their first ever Giants sleepover. Murph is outright giddy: Larry Baer gave him a customized, blow-up, gamer babe! And it was autographed by Mike Krukow!

*Hey, PIX: Hire back weather woman Countess Samantha Mohr and all is forgiven.

*Hey, so much for that budding quiet romance; now ABC7's Larry Beil and Ama Daetz are giving each other the finger.

Larry Beil and Ama Daetz: the love has abated

Samantha Mohr

  1. When listening to the new Tolbert and Lund show, it is clearly obvious that there is no chemistry between the two of them. Tolbert was much more comfortable with Ratto and had seemed to have a lot fun on the show.

    1. I'm tired of people defending Tom. Our station sucks! At least Lund knows how to move a show along from point A to point B! They don't even have a producer on Tolbert and Ratto. Brian does everything. Jen does nothing. Maybe Tom needs to realize that just talking about beer every day and laughing while Ratto says nothing interesting is good radio? It's not good radio. Lund is a good broadcaster. Probably better than anyone in the building! I can do without the penis jokes but lets not kid ourselves. KNBR SUCKS AND NEEDS NEW BLOOD!

    2. Lund, talk about frat boy, immature, amateurish, blasé, may be adequate at intros and "coming ups", but horrible talker. Tolbert has flailed since Ralph left,of course Ralph's prime was 16 years ago.

    3. Hey Radnich, I just read your FB post whining about people criticizing you. Don't like it? FUCK YOU!! You Fat Fuck.

  2. Murph is a crack-up. Each morning they alternately talk to Krukow and Kuiper - Murph was breathless that Johnny Cueto's all-star game start would disrupt the rotation with severe ramifications. Krukow shut him down and said it wouldn't matter at all. I think the Marin Homeboy would be happy if the Giants played year round.

  5. Forgot all about Samantha Mohr. She would definitely be a good hire, as would George Rask for morning traffic.

  6. I listen to 95.7 and I'm so glad frat boy Lund is gone, feel bad for Tolbert though....

    5. For at least 20+ years, a number of the new women reporters have gone the sugar daddy/sugar baby route to be able to live and work in the area. Not everyone comes in at the mid six figure salary level.

  8. Looking at that Samantha Mohr pic, it occurs to me that she resembles Roberta Gonzales...in a good way...methinks she just replaced Gasia in my hot tub of lime Jello...keeping Roberta, of course...AND Pia Zadora...

  10. Mohr is happy doing work in her home state of GA. She was on The Weather Channel also - she went home - why come back to this wasteland?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Mohr is a former Miss Georgia, and one remarkably qualified Meteorologist. Her good looks were enough to influence my decision to watch the PIX news back then, and her reliable forecasts and other interesting weather-related information provided a nice side benefit as well.

    1. Ratto is the worst sports radio host outside of Eric Byrnes but it's definitely close. Justin really does have an asshole sales face. He's the worst.

    2. Ratto was very good when he was first on filling in 5 or 6 years ago, when Ralph was around. He was energetic, candid, had strong takes. But when he was with Tolbert the last few years he totally dialed down his persona and subjugated himself to Tolbert, in fact he'd repeatedly say, "well it's your show" to Tolbert. He always seemed afraid to take any sort of lead in the show, to stand up to the weaker Tolbert intellect, and added nothing. A pity and look where it got him, and us!

  13. Also? In that car photo? No front license plate. Illegal. I think it would be the public duty to alert the authority's to that whenever its even near knbr studio's.

    1. Re: The front license plate, it's a mere fix-it ticket with most likely a $50 Adm. fee. Nothing to get bent out of shape about.

    3. I haven't checked I admit. But,I get the feeling Stanley Roberts is laughing at the idea that in this day and age a ticket of any kind is $50.
Also - if Citizens do their duty over and over? The owner of that car might learn the error of his or her ways.

  14. I'm not a fan of Radnich, but he does have a point. If you keep acting like a bitch, people are going to treat you like a bitch. Get some balls and find a job where the management respects you. Quit being someone else's bitch.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Making a vid and protesting takes balls. Running and letting the bad guys have their way? That's what a bitch does.
Radnich used the union and no doubt a bitchy lawyer to just hang on at kron.
Usually harassment and then the loss of sponsors gets a anchor fired.

      Delete
    2. Protesting is just another word for bitching. Why stay at a place where the company you work for doesn't respect, value or care about you? That shows that they have no balls at all. Just whining little bitches.
In the words of Keith Richards...The bitches keep bitching and the snitchers keep snitching.

      Delete
    3. That's most company's. Keith Richards bitches and sues at any sampling of Stone's music. He needs every penny to eat?
If you think nobody should strike or protest,I will say history has proved you dead wrong.
Is this a good time to bring up the gap between the wealthy and the middle class is still growing? Even Obama couldn't stop that. Trump in charge? Scary duty.

  15. Isn't it funny how the producer on KFOG's morning show makes BANK! That's because that guy knew how to negotiate and he is an actual producer that contributes to the show he produces and is not a button pushing sports fanatic whose life revolves around watching men playing games. These producers and board ops are like Patton Oswalt in the movie BIG FAN. Kind of scary, sad and pathetic.

  16. When Lund plays it straight, he's a serviceable host. That said, he does nothing that Ramey, or Hughes, or any number of KNBR employees couldn't do. It's obvious that KNBR hired Lund away to hurt 95.7 since the noon-3 slot was the only time 95.7 was doing any damage. The problem is, KNBR got it wrong. It's Papa that draws the numbers at 95.7, not Lund. It should also be noted the reason Lund and Papa did as well as they did during noon-3 is because Fitz and Brooks are a fucking dumpster fire of a show. 95.7 could run 3 hours of that cars for kids commercial and it would probably still beat F&B in the ratings.

    1. Completely agree re. Fitz and Brooks. Can't understand how they've been allowed to continue. I also switch to 95.7 when they're on.

  21. John Lund is a great driver of the ship, which will enable Tom to shoot the gun. This is a change that should been made AGES ago, but Lee Hammer has no care or clue as to what he's doing. If this "JWitt" fellow made the move then more power to him for recognizing how to make their show better while weakening the competition.

The "dick" jokes we hear on The Game are ENTIRELY the domain of Papa. Everyone who has ever dealt with him knows he has an off-beat twisted brand of humor. Lund is following the lead of the main horse. Not a big deal.

Anyone who thinks Lund isn't a good radio person has no idea what a good radio person is, especially when the goal is to get the most of the bigger talent. He's every bit as good as Mike Greenberg on ESPN, or any other guy who plays that role.

KNBR sounds terrible these days. Something had to change. Hopefully they take more positive steps like this one. The Game was beating them in the younger demos, or catching up.

    1. So,what you are saying is Lund and Tolbert will not be doing multiple shows about a man having sex with a Dolphin?

PTL That Townsend has kept Papa inline from what I have heard. Other then Papa saying where he comes from they don't allow Asian men to wear Cowboy hats.
      That's a bit racist don't you think?
I'm not hearing any offbeat liberal-plain Demo even- humor in bay area sports talk..all loaded to the right. Huh.

    2. I don't know if KNBR sounds horrible these days, it's pretty much the same group of talkers the last 10 years. I guess if it sounded horrible 10 years ago, it's remained that way. The thing that's changed is their ownership/management which is horrible.

  24. I've been unavoidably stuck in this dump of a town since 1971, arriving via years in classy NYC and L.A. SF was barely tolerable then and it has gone steadily down hill in every respect. The burg is a legend in its own weird mind and it needs to get over itself. However, I do have pleasant memories of a former neighbor, Dave McElhatton. His generation of refined and competent local broadcasters is history.
