I'M HEARING of 'Major Changes' at KTVU involving personnel --mostly anchors; here's the latest scuttlebutt that has come to 415 Media
In the works if not already settled:
Heather Holmes might be replacing Keba Arnold on the weekday "The 4"--Arnold to move to weekend nights with Frank Mallicoat.
That would be quite a load for Mallicoat who begins "MO2" weekend AM tomorrow (Saturday)
UPDATE 11: 31: PT: This is the latest and official: Ross Palombo will co-anchor the 10 PM Newscast with Arnold --I'm hearing the Malicoat/Arnold pairing is a "one-time event."
Ken Wayne will continue to do the Sunday 10 PM News and has now anchor duties on KTVU Plus at 7 PM, Monday thru Thursday.

Palombo and Arnold anchoring a newscast? Tell me when it's on so I can make sure I miss it.
ReplyDeleteTell Keba she should emulate Dana Plato's last appearance of Diff'Rent Strokes: Wear a bathing suit & look anorexic.
DeleteIf Palombo will be a regular, I'm signing off. He's more of a turnoff than Arnold.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who just bought a brand new 55" state of the art TV, with so many bells and whistles, he hasn't even begun to figure them all out.
ReplyDeleteHe has one small problem. When he selects channel 2 during any of their newscasts, the channel will appear and then suddenly, all by itself, change to another channel. During regular programs on 2, he said everything is fine! He has read the instruction manual many times, but can't figure it out! Is anyone else having this problem? He is sitting in front of the TV right now, he just opened his tool box, I'm really worried!! It's a nice TV. He has a sign in his garage that says, "When In Doubt, Use Ignorance and Brute Force," I feel for the TV.
The TV seems to be working fine.
DeletePutting Holmes on the 4 is what should have happened from the very beginning.
ReplyDeleteHow much news can one stand? But it's a cheap way to create attention-grabbing programming.
ReplyDeleteWith KTVU out of control and KRON4 going to a 10 pm air filler, it's a good thing there's satellite TV. This is way too much.
I wonder if the FOX folks are putting Palombo on instead of Mallicoat just to enrage Lieberman. If Mallicoat-Arnold works, then they shouldn't mess with it. But it's always sinister with TV station management, especially since they harden up when Rich brings up legitimate points against them.
