I recognize that pile near the ABC sign as coming from one Mr. Fred Van Amburg.

  3. Mutiny? There has been a quiet, silent mutiny/protest, in the making, over there for a couple years. Will anything change? Who knows, but it should; leadership is inadequate.

  4. I participated in one such "revolt" and the thing I learned was there is always someone to take your place.
    Period.

  6. Here's how a newsroom mutiny works. People complain. Management takes note of those who complain. Those people are then relieved of their duties because in TV, there is always someone else out there who can do the job. End of mutiny.

  7. Meanwhile at the Chron ... Remember Audrey Cooper, the bitch who said Rich wasn't a real journalist? Her job duties are pretty limited these days. She can't write so she doesn't have a column or do any stories. Reporters don't want her editing their pieces; they prefer others on the desk to do that. Audrey's only job is to look at a list of stories supplied by her editors and pick which ones go on the front page. Yesterday there was a dramatic story about two teenage boys swept out to sea at Ocean Beach. It was heartbreaking, emotional, everything you'd want in a news story. Audrey puts it on page A10, bottom left. Her choice for the top story? The burning controversy over whether schools should stick with drinking fountains. Another front page choice: New exhibits at the Asian Art Museum.

    1. I still remember the non-stop coverage, day after day after day of one of the most important news events ever to happen in the Bay area, covered continuously by all the News stations, the guy sitting in the tree in Berkeley who refused to come down!

  8. ABC 7 once a symbol of what's right in TV news is now sinking fast. The captain of this Titanic is ND Tracey "Trixie" Watkowski what a stupid bitch!
