NBC Bay Area Planning a 4 PM Newscast; Wednesday Opener

KNTV 11 (NBC Bay Area) is planning a 4 PM newscast. Other stations in the market, KTVU and KGO, already have a 4 --shows that concentrate on business and consumer news, really a drum-up to the more conventional 5 and 6 PM news.

FTVLive was first to report this.

As to who would anchor San Jose's 4 o'clock show, no one knows now but there's plenty people to consider.

We will in a future post.

  7. Speaking of NBC Bay Area. Their 11am news didn't air today because of some technical difficulties.

  9. Kira Klapper would be a good choice for anchor. Brent Cannon---too old perhaps.

  10. The 10:10 comment is correct. Local news was cheap even when talent was expensive and a large staff was employed.

  11. Laura hasn't been wearing any hardware on her left hand for the past three weeks at least. Brent may not be in the picture anymore?
