NOTED: Only KPIX and KRON did not carry President Obama's remarks about the college shooting in Oregon.
KTVU, KNTV, and KGO-TV all carried Obama's press conference live.
*Interesting that KRON bills itself as the "Bay Area's News Station."
Really now?
And KPIX--CBS' Owned and Operated TV station in the Bay Area? Curious decision to say the least.
I'm not surprised...KRON would rather bring back Henry's Dumb Fucken Garden Show & KPIX will settle for Veronica serving Table 4 some more nachos at the Taqueria.
ReplyDeleteTHIS is surprising, nobody seems to have picked up on the student-witness who said 'he asked our religion before he shot'
ReplyDeleteThis isn't news?
It's not about the shooters motives or lack of mental stability, it's about having any excuse to have a gun grab.
DeleteKPIX & KRON figures the Bay Area doesn't need to be informed. What a crock...
ReplyDeleteI must say KCBS did a great job on this.
In this day and age, there is no need to to report incidents on 12+ networks. Plus the fact of lack of qualified commentators. The smartphone rules over TV and radio.
ReplyDeleteKRON no excuses; PIX is stuck with the NFL, which supersedes any news outside of a political earthquake.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it necessary for every station to carry the exact same press conference? Really petty criticism.
ReplyDeleteCompletely senseless tragedy.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't care less about what his handlers prepared for him to say.
Meh. So what? What difference does their carrying/not carrying Obama make? None.
ReplyDeleteKPIX: money. KRON: nobody home.
ReplyDeleteObama couldn't wait until the bodies had cooled before giving his Republican-bashing speech. It took him only 5 hours to turn this shooting into something political. It was disgusting, but something we've come to expect from him. All of the stations didn't need to carry his remarks. If you were interested, you could turn to CNN or FNC. At 11, you can summarize his speech by saying "Obama blamed conservatives for the shooting today." Besides, doesn't he say something like this after every mass shooting. I'll bet you could just run the video from the last one and nobody would notice.
ReplyDeleteWhat part of the speech was Republican bashing?
DeleteThe part where he was talking about a "change in politics", this part?:
“It will require that the American people, individually, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican or an independent, when you decide to vote for somebody, are making a determination as to whether this cause of continuing death for innocent people should be a relevant factor in your decision.”
What is disgusting are you scumbag conservatives. Every time something like this happens more and more people come to their senses. The only way to cure this problem is to remove a shitload of guns from the public. Australia did it a few years ago and the day is coming the USA will do it also. I can't wait for that day.
ReplyDeleteYou're the new Stan.

ReplyDelete"At 11, you can summarize his speech by saying "Obama blamed conservatives for the shooting today."
On Fox News...and today on Rush/Hannity/Savage...and then on KSFO, they are all blaming Obama and Liberals for the shooting.
germancarsonly now there is a nice American for you. If you hate guns so much then put a sign in front of your house that says gun free zone.
ReplyDeleteLets see how that works out for a genius like yourself.
@10:07
ReplyDeleteYou're a bit melodramatic. Germancars doesn't "hate" guns. He or she merely wants strictly enforced gun control, which is something most civilized Western nations have.
Obama won. The discussion is about gun control and not the people that died at the hands of a mulatto. Thanks for playing.
DeleteKRON bills itself as "The Bay Area's News Station"? To be more accurate, they might try "The Bay Area Snooze Station."
