Breaking: Larry Olson, The Funny Weekend Sports Guy On KGO Radio Was Just Shown The Door

 Larry Olson, the occasionally hilarious and talented weekend sports broadcaster on KGO Radio was fired Friday--Olson got his walking papers from one of the lower-level "market managers"--which in Cumulus speak is: "Go grab 'yo stuff and get on out!"


I don't know if Olson's blow-out (and others coming soon) is a precursor to the demise of the weekend news (Sat/Sun--5-10 AM) but it sure doesn't bode well for the 810 AM albatross.

    I haven't heard Larry Olson on KGO for a long time. Hasn't Bruce McGowan been doing weekend sports?

    Hilarious & Talented? Not to me, but that's why they make chocolate & vanilla. I thought Olson sounded like a total idiot. Fuck You, Olson. Take your Happy Horseshit & get the hell out of here.
