Thursday Coffee Pause
*In the immediate aftermath of Debs Munroe about-to-exit KGO Radio the question now is who will take over. Who would want this thankless gig knowing there's no highlight and eventual disappointment --all of that said, someone will take the position, however mired in mediocrity and uncertainty.
*Talk is now rampant that news will be pushed aside and that a combo talk--local and syndicated is on the horizon.
*We neglected to mention that KTVU has added a new 10 PM Sports Wrap show that debuted last week. The show will air every Sunday night at 11 PM.
*At its peak, KGO Radio took in more than $50M in gross revenue. This year, they'll be lucky to fetch $1M. Go figure.
*Add KGO: What was KGO Radio's rank at the time of the format change in 2011? #4 --now, it's #24. Nothing else needs to be said...except Ronn Owens said "we're going to be great and you're really going to like this new format!" --The Voice of Reason at his best.
