So, you ask that they eliminate the women at KGO and a few of the broads take umbrage of the male yahoos at the station who run amok, a ha, revolt at the Battery Cumulus!
Seems some of the power ladies at 810 AM didn't appreciate one veteran male reporter who called a fellow female reporter a "bitch" in the newsroom.
It wasn't loud but just loud enough to be heard by one of the high priestesses and she wasn't happy with the "b" word.
Memo to management coming.
Should be an interesting Monday at Cumulus SF's cluster.
Just call them an asshole like guys do to,other guys. Geez...so simple!
ReplyDeleteAt least he didn't call her a broadcast journalist.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Touché
DeleteThere's a veteran news man in the newsroom? Name one.
ReplyDeleteShe's probably lucky she just got the "B" word and not the next letter down.
ReplyDeleteChristine I love you
ReplyDeleteHe didn't call her a "bitch", he asked if she'd been to the "beach"
ReplyDeleteCall them for what they are!! Like what Jim Eason recently said, "So if Bruce Jenner is TransGendered, Karel would be TransFat?"
ReplyDeleteYou landed that one Jean.
DeleteNoticed that Karel is scheduled from 8p-12a on KGO tonight according to the KGO website.
I just checked the KGO website & no mention of Karel on tonight's schedule.
DeleteI agree; not sure why 6:17pm thought Karel was on the schedule. I listened to Pat Thurston, who was on from 7pm-10pm, then the John Batchelor Show came on.
DeleteLook under "programming" and you will see he is scheduled again for Sunday from 22:00- 12a
DeleteGuess KGO never updated the website to remove him from the schedule.
"Guess KGO never updated the website to remove him from the schedule."
DeleteIt could be that or maybe they realize that no one cares.
Then,she called him "Motherfucker!"
ReplyDeleteIt all evens out.
Because you were there right? Oh that's right, you've never worked in media.
DeleteKGO will never matter again. The Bay Area is the incubator of technology. Young people here will never care about their awful programming be it news or talk. The station was old when the folded and they were right to do it because it was going to fall eventually. They could probably have made more money for a few years without destroying format but it was inevitable.
ReplyDeleteThe people who work there have absolutely no idea how to stop the sinking and neither does the parent company.
KGO is Dead.
Ah yes , living in the world of Jacks and Queens.
ReplyDeleteThe sexual tension must be incredibly high in the news room with all them leather clad dominatrices stomping around repetitively typing out compelling in-depth weather and traffic reports over and over and over again.
The station should be renamed the John Batchelor talkfest. Seems like that is all that is ever on all night.
