I used to flip between kron and ch 11 in the mornings, as I preferred erica over christina. Recently, i have been exclusively watching nbc. Now Bay area morning news is unwatchable... I guess channel 2 will scoop up all the viewers once gasia makes her MO2 debut. The only hope to see an attractive anchor
Christina happened to look good which brings out the little green monster in people who don't have confidence. She was very good at her job; quite educated and never hurt anyone the way you uptight Bay Area people do. Grow up.
My wife says that if this happens to her, she's off for the stage-pole circuit. I didn't know the answer to this question, but does anyone know whether or not the name April Flowers is copyrighted?
Christine is Beautiful, Funny Smart, and the ONLY REASON I TUNED in the morning, She is the reason why i started watching this week channel in the 1st place, , I am going to stop watching , I will go back to The better Knews on Channel 2 KTVU
This will give further credence to right wingers who claim there's a war on blondes and only "ethnics" are hired. Losing Jackie Bennett is still an open wound, now Loren? Rich, please keep us abreast of the situation.
Some of these comments are so insulting to the women who work in broadcasting. Big breasts are the criteria for your critiques? Knuckle-dragging Neanderthals..
Wouldn't have seen this one coming. Unless it was "for cause", I'm thinking failed contract renegotiation. 11's morning news was rudderless with the current anchor team...dropping their most famous and inarguably most marketable talent isn't going to fix that. If this was avoidable it should have been avoided.
It's not like the good old days when you only saw a black person when you needed a maid or janitor. And every other race was a migrant needing help from a kindly white person.
What bugged me about her (or any other person on the screen) wasn't that she was pretty or white, it was her overzealous "look at me!" persona that made me want to gag. I turned the channel as soon as she came on.
How she looked was her decision. I was bothered by her ad-libbing/bantering -- its was usually awkward. I also felt her innuendos fell flat. At the beginning she was, in a word, awful. She has gotten better over time, but still was a chore to listen to. I wish her well.
This news is the best news. She drove me crazy. The way she clomped around on stage, the way she swung her arms around like she was competing in a beauty pageant and the words she would spew that were downright uncomfortable...she was the weakest link. Goodbye!
Never a fan, Loren was a camera show off that always walked back and forth to show off. Attractive yes but her personality for me was obviously phony. I'm glad she's out
Jealous people shame on you Christina does not deserve your rude nasty comments. This is a ethnic mixed woman supporting her sister. Why can't a woman be smart, pretty and sexy
Christina is a great at weather reporting, but her wardrobe was not. What happened to looking professional, and looking like you were going out to a club?
I for one will no longer be a viewer. Switched From KTVU when Christina showed up on NBC, she got my day started off right, cheerful, pretty and great at her job. She will be fine, I'm sure, Class Act. Good luck where ever you windup.
I never could figure out why she stayed as long as she did. I found her disturbing. Weather, why? She certainly was more about prancing. Theology major, why? Doesn't seem to fit.
She was a problem for my flat screen TV. Everytime she faced the camera her breasts would smash up against my glass. But, for the record, I liked her cheery morning energy.
As a woman, I enjoyed her amazing energy, kind way, and sweet smile. Her beauty was on the inside. It started my morning off happy. She will be greatly missed by me!!!!! She gave pizazz to what is normally a boring segment. I also looked forward to her wardrobe; super cute and tasteful outfits. Just not the same without her. I wish her a new and happy career.
I agree with you! She has grown into an excellent weather reporter. Christina could banter with the others, had an upbeat demeanor and could keep things flowing. She is greatly missed during my morning routine.
When I first started watching Christina I was very critical of her as I am of anyone new in a professional position on tv. She gained my respect as I watched her become an entertaining and very upbeat weather person and to be honest the only weather person I can refer to by name. For those making negative comments about her personally and professionally took the time to find this site and took the time to write a comment along side all of her fans so I say to Christina, take their comments in stride, they remembered your name and they took the time. I'm really going to miss watching you and wish you all the best.
I always enjoyed watching her and her upbeat very happy and friendly spirit. SHE is just absolutely very intelligent and beautiful also. I did not know that she also had a master's in theology. It makes sense The most beautiful and happy people have God in their heart. We can a)l learn from her.
I, as a woman, have been disturbed that I haven't seen her - as I work graveyard, only get to watch the morning news a couple days a week..so I had to Google to find out she's gone?!! I always enjoyed her energy & wit ..guess I'll just be watching KRON 2 from here on! I personally wish her the best I'm whatever she is pursuing..thanks for the years :-)
I actually appreciated her weather reports, though she was usually too optimistic about rain... Hated her wardrobe for the most part and her quips did not make her sound too bright, but at least she tried. She did have a somewhat provocative way of standing, but she does have a nice physique, so, why not? (Though I did not like it.)
Was very tired of seeing a women dressed like she was going out to a night club every morning. Too much make up and her dresses could not have been tighter. Have wanted to complain for some time but did not want to be critical. She always seemed like a nice person.
My wife and I truly enjoyed having Christina Loren to entertain us in the morning with her weather reports. She was adding life to the generally boring and depressing news. Today in the Bay has made a huge mistake and have lost us as dedicated morning viewers. Looking forward to Christina showing up on another local Channel soon.
You are all very rude and jealous. I'm sure Christine thought she was playing to a mature audience. "Children" who are not emotionally where they should be miss out on the zest and nuances of life. She was very professional.
Bring her back - she made watching the weather and early news interesting, she had a great personality. It seems like a case of reverse discrimination - anti blond
This marks the end of an era of blonde Bay Area weather girls.
ReplyDeleteI will miss *them* both
DeleteYes, "the girls" will be missed. She should do swimsuit modeling
DeleteHope she has fun wherever she is "headed!"
ReplyDeleteIf NBC were smart, they'd go and try to track down Erica Kato
ReplyDeleteI used to flip between kron and ch 11 in the mornings, as I preferred erica over christina. Recently, i have been exclusively watching nbc. Now Bay area morning news is unwatchable... DeleteTake note ch 5 and 7
That's a good call. Gotta go for more diversity and besides, they need replacing.
DeleteChristina happened to look good which brings out the little green monster in people who don't have confidence. She was very good at her job; quite educated and never hurt anyone the way you uptight Bay Area people do. Grow up.
DeleteL.A.,Miami or New York? San Jose never did seem her final destination.
ReplyDeleteErica Kato gets huge looks on my blog. 3x the average.
3x0 is still 0.
DeleteOk that was funny.
DeleteWhen she first can to KNTV, they promoted her right and left. now dump her after 4 yrs strange.
ReplyDeleteKNTV just lost me as a viewer in the morning.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pornstar
ReplyDeleteMy wife says that if this happens to her, she's off for the stage-pole circuit. I didn't know the answer to this question, but does anyone know whether or not the name April Flowers is copyrighted?

DeleteMs. Loren has the best body of any weather woman on bay area TV. I will miss her a lot. I wish her good luck where ever she goes.
ReplyDeleteRich please get to the bottom of this story.
Sacked on the last day of the May ratings book.
ReplyDeleteThis will give further credence to right wingers who claim there's a war on blondes and only "ethnics" are hired. Losing Jackie Bennett is still an open wound, now Loren? Rich, please keep us abreast of the situation.
ReplyDeleteBlondes are the new Christmas.
DeleteDitto that. Exactly what I was thinking. So tired of hearing "need more diversity" The white blondes are the diversity in the Bay Area.
Delete"ethnics"?
DeleteSounds like we have a lot of old southern "hospitality" right here in good ole diverse SF.
DeleteThere must be some titillating behind-the-seems gossip as to how this could have come to a head.
ReplyDeleteSome of these comments are so insulting to the women who work in broadcasting. Big breasts are the criteria for your critiques? Knuckle-dragging Neanderthals..
ReplyDelete..and you think anyone here was doing anything besides joking? LOL!
DeleteI agree. If I were Christina Loren, I would be contacting Rich along with my agent and lawyer and demand that these comments be deleted.
DeleteMs. Loren seems to have more class than to waste time with pissant frivolous lawyering that the far left wishes to pursue.
DeleteCan I sue them on Judge Judy?
Deleteagree, these comments are demeaning and childish... even if its a "joke," its a stupid joke.
DeleteKRON has an opening M-Fr weeknights...
ReplyDeleteWouldn't have seen this one coming. She was the breast (sp) thing to happen to NBC. She (they) will be missed.
ReplyDeleteGood for KNTV, needed is more diversity in the newsroom.
ReplyDeleteDiversity is a euphemism for bigotry against light skinned/light haired people these days.
DeleteIt's not like the good old days when you only saw a black person when you needed a maid or janitor. And every other race was a migrant needing help from a kindly white person.
DeleteDiversity as socially applied here, constantly equals disorder and mediocrity.
DeleteWhat bugged me about her (or any other person on the screen) wasn't that she was pretty or white, it was her overzealous "look at me!" persona that made me want to gag. I turned the channel as soon as she came on.
DeleteShe will greatly missed. Hoping Rob isnt here replacement.....hes super boring.
ReplyDeleteHow am I going to get "up" in the morning now?
ReplyDeleteGetting up should be easier now...you won't be so stiff in the morning...
ReplyDeleteChristina's primary aura and lower chakras are both powerful and suggestive.
ReplyDeleteMy only question?
ReplyDeleteOEM God made?
Or Implants?
Christina is a religious person. She recently obtained a Masters Degree in Theology. I am impressed with her commitment to her faith.
ReplyDeleteHow she looked was her decision. I was bothered by her ad-libbing/bantering -- its was usually awkward. I also felt her innuendos fell flat. At the beginning she was, in a word, awful. She has gotten better over time, but still was a chore to listen to. I wish her well.
ReplyDeleteSo THIS is where the scum hangs out...
ReplyDeleteShe just completed theology masters class. She does have a deep Christian faith.
She probably disagreed with the liberal BS pretending to news from KNTV.
This news is the best news. She drove me crazy. The way she clomped around on stage, the way she swung her arms around like she was competing in a beauty pageant and the words she would spew that were downright uncomfortable...she was the weakest link. Goodbye!

ReplyDeleteChristina does not deserve your rude nasty comments. This is a ethnic mixed woman supporting her sister. Why can't a woman be smart, pretty and sexy
Thank you. I agree.
DeleteBelieve me, it's not jealousy. I'm comfortable in my skin. It is that she was annoying and full of herself. No one likes that.
DeleteI miss Christina and her excellent weather reporting. Some of the nasty and rude comments are totally out of left field.
ReplyDeleteChristina is a great at weather reporting, but her wardrobe was not. What happened to looking professional, and looking like you were going out to a club?
ReplyDeleteThis will cost the station many viewers.
