This pretty and graceful Lady brings something else to mind. Samantha Sang, a singer of the 70's Disco Era, who hit it big with "More, More More! How Do You Like It? How Do You Like Your Love?" Can I get a witness?
Very attractive, and a remarkably qualified and accurate meteorologist. She was one of the reasons why I started watching the PIX news on a regular basis.
Oh, Yes. I remember this charming lady. And she does sing. Think that she performed the national anthem now and then for various athletic games while she was here. She has a naturally beautiful voice. I saw her a few times on I think it was the weather channel after she left KPIX.
I don't know if I miss her, but she was easy on the eyes. I continued watching her on the Weather Channel and now at HLN/CNN. I toggle back and forth between KPIX and KGO newscasts in the morning and I have to change the channel when I see Roberta Gonzalez obnoxiously deliver her "Where's Roberta?" segments. It's now news and it's not entertaining. It's just stupid. When she does do the weather, she delivers it like the audience are 4th graders - very over emphasized to create dramatic effect.
Imiss Jim O'Brien, the Philadelphia weatherman who jumped out of an airplane in 1982 and didn't pull the ripcord on his parachute. His daughter is TV's Peri Gilpin.
I knew Jim well at WFIL Radio and WPVI 6 where he was weatherman, sports anchor and news anchor. He was a great jock on 'Famous 56'' and at WOR-FM New York, KHJ Los Angeles (briefly) and in Dallas and elsewhere. A religious man and a minister, as is Charlie Van Dyke. He made "Dialing for Dollars" come alive, a superbly creative weather "guesser" and was "Big Jim O'Brien" through and through. What a talen and what a voice. Proud to call him friend. He "jumped out of airplanes because he knew he could. 3000 times, in fact. Always took it seriously. He will be forever missed.
Peri Giplin was the apple of her dad's eyes and did well with 'Frasier' and that ensemble with Kelsey Grammar. A classy, funny, consumate professionall Dad, a good friend and "one tall Texan." Many of us miss Jim dearly. Best wishes to Peri.
James Franklin Oldham (O'Brien) - the Delaware Valley misses you greatly.

ReplyDeleteUh, nice story, wrong name: Andrea True of "Andrea True Connection" sang "More, More, More." Plus, she was a former porn star.
DeleteBut there was a Samantha Sang.
Nice save by Rock Rich!
DeleteYes I do.

Samantha or hoochie...I mean Roberta. Samantha hands down. Class act. Nice presentation and she knew how to dress.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteWho?
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely hit that.

ReplyDeleteGreat calfs. I trust any weather person with that quality of calf definition and symmetry. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThat is Mrs Brady right?
ReplyDeleteSo do I. Loved her. One of my favorite coworkers ever.
ReplyDeleteWow what legs!

ReplyDeleteRoberta should be quarantined to QVC.
DeleteHas anybody seen Jackie Johnson from KTLA??
DeleteGeeze, I forgot all about her.

Should have talked to Frasier before making that jump.

ReplyDeleteWoah. She is 52! Now that is a MILF!
Do you think Abe Vigoda looks good for 93 whenever you watch The Godfather?

I'd tear that shit up.
ReplyDeleteI miss her too! Roberta is a joke. She isn't even a meterologist.
ReplyDeleteRoberta's American Meteorological Society membership is honorary?
DeleteUh, 3:55...your dog could join the AMS.
Delete"Founded in 1919, AMS has a membership of more than 14,000 professionals, students, and weather enthusiasts."
Hey you guys...have you seen Jackie Johnson in LA? KCBS ...methinks....
