Ed Lee: The Only Guy That Screamed Louder Than The TV Reporters At The Giants Victory Parade

I think he'd be a great emcee for the Oscars though.

Bonus Points: Orange Fashion Suit makes him look like Anaheim Real-Estate agent.

  1. KNTV and Janelle Wang was completely UNWATCHABLE. Stop screaming you moron. Yet another case of "talent" having zero concept of how microphones and other tech gear work. She's just awful.

  2. Nice speeches. My only wish? That they would have Train sing "We are the Champions" while the whole team was seated. They did a great version- Gasia sang along live on air.
So if they had,it would have been an emotional impact. Instead what happened is you saw a few Giant players mingling, most had left before Train...Pence had his back to the whole song.
The crowd loved it- nice job Train.

  3. Ed Lee was annoying enough, but having to listen to the insufferable 'Renel' and her 'LETS HEAR IT FOR YOURWORLD CHAMPION AN FRAN-CIS-CO GIIIIANTSSS!" was even worse. Why is she still doing the P.A? She ruins the ballpark experience every time she screams and yells like some overenthusiastic little school girl. And by the way, why in the world is Amy G. in the parade? What did she have to do with the Giants' success, other than interrupt a normally enjoyable TV broadcast to bring us useless, pablum interviews from the dugout. What a waste of air-time!

    1. I missed the last two parades, but back in 2010 the Giants accounting office was in the parade.

    2. Amy G is Larry Baer's good luck charm. They keep winning championships, and we are going to be stuck with her on the telecasts. As bad as Amy G is, and she is dreadful, we could be subjected to Kate T Me Me Me.

    3. Hey 4:42: what a waste of space on this blog page! Didn't your mommy ever tell you "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"?? SOUR GRAPES don't taste that great...................

    4. Sounds like 4:42 needs to get laid...all they needed to add to their comments were "and get off my lawn you punks".

  4. Ed Lee was an embarrassment. When the cameras zoomed in on the players, it looked like some of them were laughing at him.

    1. I would laugh too, if it weren't for the fact that the blowhard is so politically powerful.

My exact sentiments. Hilarious! As was the first part of 4:42's post.

  8. I heartily agree with the poster who ripped Renel and Amy G. Larry Baer must really like them both because they are totally useless and more than a little grating on the ears!

  9. BREAKING NEWS: KTVU has no news to cover in post-season, cancels Saturday broadcasts.

  10. Ed Lee actually looked like he had to look at his script in order to say "YES, Yes, YES"! Good grief.

  11. A lot folks on this MB sound very Jelly to me...I am not a As Fan, I am a SF Giants Fan, because I am an SF Native, my Grandfather rented one of his apartments to Willie Mays when he 1st came to the City in the 50's, because he could not buy a house in St. Francis Woods. He lived in our family's apartment building in Presidio Heights until he could buy a Home on the West side of SF.

Having said that, if the A's would have won the WS, I'd be happy for them, because they are our brothers across the Bay. I am also very, very much against the Oakland A's moving to San Jose. Why, because we in SF know how it feels for your team to be stolen away from you by a South Bay town. Bottom line is, there's no reason for all the haterade?!

  12. So the Giants festivities today were on at least 7 different Comcast channels simultaneously. Lots of pooled coverage. Was any particular station the "lead" on the coverage? Who was the director? Did the stations just eat the lost commercial revenue or did the Giants buy the time up? Who footed the production expenses for the coverage? Lots of camera. Who coordinated the TV coverage?

  13. Well, now we know what KTVU decided to cover ad nauseum after the Giants were done with: Halloween in the Castro! Another non-story...

  14. Oh lighten UP everyone! The entire event was carried by 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7. It was easy enough to flip channels, for heaven sakes.

It was a goofy and wonderful afternoon. I just enjoyed it, as I think most of us did.

I call bullshit you just got out of the bar. No century 21 realtor makes half that much cause they are bottom of the barrel.
She can not sell real estate cause fat realtors and actresses in So Cal Make less.

  16. Once again... ad-libbing is overrated for the vast majority of us. There's a reason why many powerful politicos employ speechwriters... That was one of them...

    Hunter said "Frisco."

  18. On top of all this Mayor Lee wears that hideous two tone hat with an orange bill.
Not to mention that loud sports jacket. What some TV sportscaster lose his coat?
The best frontrunners in America reside in Frisco California.
