  1. Rich, I jumped all over you after your disastrous show last Saturday and you censored all of my comments because I was correct. I think it is only fair that I commend you on a job well done yesterday especially your interview with Don Sanchez and a special appearance by Da Mayor, the one and only Willie Brown! What a fun treat. You are not interrupting as much as before and that is a good thing. Still, there appears to be a slight delay when you speak to your guests, you interrupted Don a few times and it took him a second to react and then suddenly there was a two second silent pause. Very annoying. Listen to me man, you are dealing with media people who can talk, you don't need to interject every time. Let them flow! Kick ass tonight! I am especially looking forward to your interview with McPartlin. I enjoyed his work on mornings on two back in the day. He struck me as a Bon Vivant of the highest order.

    1. I'm just catching up on the older shows and the interruptions were what stood out to me as well. I think, as you do this more, you will get a better feel for this and the clock so the breaks won't be as harsh and you just let the guests talk. The focus is on them and not you. If you do this long term, you've got plenty of time to let those stories come out over time and slowly let the audience get to know you.

With the Dan Raviv show, they guy could talk and knows radio and you really didn't have to do much. With Warburton, yes, interject to keep the show going by asking him questions but don't feel to have to regale him too much with your own stories to impress the guest. And yes, that delay is killing you.

But don't let me be all negative. This is just constructive criticism. You've got some good stuff going on here too and the guests are your strength. Just let them talk.

  2. Just remember Rich's standard and his always stated line: "It's MY show and I can do what I want." Nice pro attitude. What a bore. Do you have to keep making excuses for those "gremlins"? This "show" has a long way to "evolve" and your guests deserve better than being talked over with morbid dreck. Tillem was right. You have a lot of improving to do.

  3. How about Leslie Scirroco? She's kind of sexy vivacious..like Ann Frazier used to be.
Paul Gutierrez? Get to the whole lack of latinos in local sports media..AND find out whats it like to be Mr. Amy G.? I won't get into her G spot...

    1. Leslie Sbrroco is a great suggestion. I am a big fan and I love the Check Please! show, although I do recall Rich bad mouthing the show in the past. Did you get turned down as a guest Rich?

  4. This might boost Stanleys ego even more: The History channel has a series called "Leaders behaving badly"..about Hannibal and Ghengis Khan..Hitler...like that.

    1. Haha! I've been watching all those shows recenly. I can just picture Stanley in a toga during Roman times next to a cliff telling us: Caligula's reign of terror continued today as he plunged 30 more Romans in to the ocean....

  5. I'd rather listen to you than read that dribble that Benjamin Fong wrote today in the chronicle. What a joke. Trying to be cute, he failed. Kiss a whole lit of butts? Oh yeah. I wonder how much he gets for being the designated apple polisher to the Bay Area radio media?

  7. I went from the high of Lieberman Live ending at 11pm to the horrible Dave Weintraub. On a positive note, he is filling in for the horrendous Mo Langdon.....

    1. I heard the end of your show Rich. Definitely better. Who was this guy filling in for Langdon? Is she finally done? I thought he was decent especially considering the rest of them. Why can't you get on KGO?

    2. his name is above. he's not on and she isn't done. he's a fill-in for now who works on the savage show and also fills in for jared hart when he's not working with ronn. there are others worse than maureen who should be done. station is a bore these days. all the hosts sound like they are doing the same show they did the week before. at least maureen changes it up. monty is unlistenable. still like karel. i always will for whatever reason. i'm sure weintraub will get a shot at some point as it doesn't seem like any of the hosts there are dug in but it would be nice if they brought back the old hosts. brian copeland is so up and down. if he was consistent he could make a mark.
