  3. KNBR is re-airing all of the Giants World Series Games. Really? That's the best you can do? That's embarrassing. Is there not a single hard working person in that building who wouldn't want to take a shot on air? THAT'S A CHRISTMAS GIFT! A CHANCE! Whomever made that call is a milquetoast programmer.

  4. Mispronunciations of 'Sanfrancisquito Creek'.

Even the locals took their time saying it.

The smarmy LA chippy on KPIX tried about three times last night and finally gave up. Tonight they didn't even give her a chance.

  5. Yeah...a bunch of live shots from Homeless Shelter feeds...followed by a bunch of live-shots tomorrow of people returning gifts or taking advantage of after-Christmas sales.

THAT's what's going on--if you watch local TV news.

  10. KGO and KSFO always had 24 hours of programming without commercials, not so this year. I like Mannheim Steamrollers and the stories. However, I think it was more interesting when xmas songs was performed by a variety of artists (Frank Sinatra, Elle Fitzgeral ect) pop, jazz and rock. I heard Ronn mentioned that KGO raised $43.000 in the thanksgiving charities, how embarrasing, Bernie Ward use to raise $250.000 or more and I'm sure Gil did better last year until he was fired. I guess that small amounts reflects the ratings.
On another note, I work retail at a major Peninsula department store, we were open to 6 p.m. xmas eve (the 24th) people were still shopping and were reluctant to leave. Americans don't really celebrate xmas, they shop. I grew up in Scandinavia on the 24 th by 2 p.m everything was closed, so families could celebrate xmas eve and xmas day together.

  11. I did not get Jackie Bennet or Rosemary Orozco under the tree :( maybe next year. I caught a little bit of that slimy rabbi Lapin filling in for Woossman on KSFO today. He spent the first few minutes of the 8 am hour plugging his web site and books. What a bore.
