I think we all lost. In 2000, we poured money into internet companies that had never made a dime. In 2008, we made mortgage loans to people who could never pay them back. In other words, he earned the right to publicly voice his political opinion, especially about a presidential candidate whose professional resume reflects not giving to his country, but taking.
In your "other words" maybe, but considering that Mr. Eastwood continues to be productive (which also means productive for the US Treasury) and hugely successful in a competitive and demanding field, your diagnosis of his senility is contradicted by considerable evidence, suggesting that you, not he, is the real fool.
An 82 year old man that has been in the industry for 60 years, employs lesser known actors/actresses, movies that cover many genres, gives many thousands to music and art projects is a fool because he is old?
