Savage Return to Radio Close at Hand; Tuesday Quick Start

I'm not a liberal. Nor a conservative. Labels have never been a part of my political pedigree.

Which is one of the reasons why I support and am fully entertained by Michael Savage. Wait, there's even more. Savage manages to transcend mere politics. He's unabashed non-beholden to either party.

Therefore he's not a Sussman, a Hannity, a Levin or a Limbaugh, all of whom whose shows take on the mother of predictability each and every day.

Ronn Owens? Are you kidding me.

Savage, who won his lawsuit against radio syndicate, TRN, has some interesting news, (a new deal?), and is expected to announce it sometime soon.

Good.

It's about time we had some entertaining radio return to the Bay Area airwaves.

  2. If I found hate entertaining I would read Mein Kampf again.

"Don't you understand what's a stake? ...Don't you understand the sick perverts [homosexuals] are killing all of us? ...unless this is stopped, unless the gay agenda is curtailed... you're not gonna have your own children eventually... your father would have taken a day off from pipe fitting and he would have gone in there with blood in his eyes... he would have gone crazy! ..."

      "Arabs are non humans"

Christianity "is the only thing that can turn them into human beings"

"50 million Latinos in America, most of them illegal."

He told a caller on air to "catch AIDS and die!"

Autism is a "scam perpetuated by African Americans to protect their bratty kids from responsibility"

"racism still exists? Well okay, where does it still exist?"

Anon 11:22, ever heard of google.com?

    3. @1226 thank you for posting the quotes. I can think of several other vile quotes the hater has spewed forth, especially on the racial side.

    4. you're a total idiot. savage never said anything like that. if he said things like that he would have been on the air for 15 years dummy. saying that 50,000,000 illegal aliens are in the country does not equate hate. whenever liberal hears something they don't agree with they just call it hate. you liberals need to pack up and leave this country. you're a disease that needs to be expunged from history. all liberal policies are a total failure. all liberal thought is ignorant, naive and dangerous. that's exactly why Republicans are going right back into power. unfortunately the childlike populous of our country must periodically indulge there infantile side 50 ding for an idiot Democrat.

  3. His shows are kinda of predictably boring and curious why would anyone pay $4.95 to listen to his show ie on 9/30/2012: http://bit.ly/MichaelSavageU2 .

  4. Rich,

Please you are a flamming lib.

  5. If Savage expects me to pay even $1 for his show, he is nuts. I am a huge fan but I did not pay for Stern and I sure as hell won't pay for Savage. I noticed envy in his voice when I heard him give the $ Beck was making charging for his show. Hashem bless Savage if he is chasing the $ and makes it. Not a cent will come from me...

  6. Observation~ Savage should have enough money to pay someone to clean the bird poop off of his patio railing.

I look forward to his return. Savage is Savage, warts and all. Is he a hater? Let's not bullshit each other, aren't we all to some degree? The passive aggressive lib's want a world of peace and harmony but aggression, intolerance, and selfishness make the world tick just as much. Truth is a bitch.

  7. I first heard Savage (Weiner) in 1994 as a weekend host on KGO and found him entertaining, but his one note act tires quickly. Still funny at times but too much ranting and self-promotion. Writing multiple books on the same topics, a la Ann Coulter. Seems like his radio persona continues in his personal life, battling with superiors and imaginary enemies. You were good, Mike.

  8. Laura Ingraham is pretty good--and pretty period!

  9. O.T. Just musing. Ronn off again. Didn't hear what excuse was, but maybe under the weather, back, whatever. However, Ronn very rarely takes time off for illness and just wondering if KGONE is pushing his buttons to save a couple of months of salary.
When they did that day of ridiculous fund raising a couple of months ago and had Ronn stick around and tout the fundraising, even though I'm sure the quasi "Christian" group that was benefiting from the fundraising really obviously irked him....he "was under the weather" the following day.
Now they have him doing spots for the Christian Science Monitor..of course, not the same ilk as the scam fundraising, but still, I doubt, something that Ronn would rush out to praise...not like a mattress.... Is Ronn doing a "flu" protest ...or "religious" protest? Cumulouse might not be able to get him come to the defense of his so called friends...they might get him to offer 'enthusiasm' for their change of venue...but touting Christian 'values' might be more than he can do. What next? Spots for PLO, Iran?

  10. Laura Ingraham is the furthest thing from attractive, and if you have a conversation with her for 2 minutes she becomes even less so. Known that woman for years, and she's really not anything you'd want to go home with. They really paint her up good for the TV. She's also painful on the radio, as she shouts into the right-wing radio echo chamber about how people need to lift themselves up by their bootstraps. Not like herself, of course, who was raised in upper-middle class Connecticut, attended the best schools, and hasn't struggled a day in her life. Other than emotionally. Her own personal life, self-inflicted, is a disaster.

If you think she's what passes for good radio then you are the problem with radio.

    2. now how is someone the problem with radio for just enjoying a show? Lauren Ingraham and Ann Coulter are both fine. not only are they totally hittable, but they're both incredibly smart and very courageous. it takes guts to go against the spittle mouth psychos that run the liberal media. no go take your narrow butt, get into your testicuarlly challenged prius, drive over to Starschmucks, and begin petulantly sucking on your caramel makiato.

    3. Gene Burns sucks!! Gene Burns is a nobody, hack. His show is designed for wanna be occupy types that wear grubby t shirts, with idiotic slogans on them, who rarely bathe, have prepubescent facial hair, and suffer from gynecomastia from drinking too much soy milk. The other halitosis plauged nabobs who would listen to that idiot are unsuccesful, bitter pensioners with thin necks and huge adams apples who ride road bikes on the weekend, and suffer from prostate problems from wearing lycra shorts, but they secretly gett off smelling each others cliff bar farts.

  11. Laura Ingraham is the best!
You liberals have no idea of quality talk radio.

  12. Yes we do, Gene Burns (who was/is not really a liberal) John Rothman, also like Tom Sullivan. Just because we don't agree with you does not mean we are not intelligent, informed and up on the issues. We just DON'T AGREE WITH THE CONSERVATIVE POINT OF VIEW.
I often hear conservatives, saying that, if someone is not on board with the conservative point of view, they are not informed, intelligent, not willing to face the facts, the list goes on. Face it some people actually have thought very carefully about the topics, has different life experience and thus has come to different conclusion than you. Deal with it.

  13. I have not listened to Savage for any extended periods as I find him shrill and nasty. But there is no worse person on the airwaves than Brian Sussman. He is the worst on many levels: absolutely toxic in his hateful presentation, but also the most gratingly unfunny personality to ever shit from his mouth on the public airwaves. Add Melanie Morgan and you have the equivalent of brushing your teeth after drinking orange juice and chewing aluminum foil first thing in the morning. Their program is simply stupefying.

    1. The fact that you cannot comment without using profanity proves your a rude, ignorant nabob with no class. why do you even listen to the radio? go home and watch the view, where everybody will agree with your point of view, however idiotic it is.

  14. Amen, about Sussman, I like you have not listened to Savage for a long time, and most of the time I don't care for him, at times he is just infuriating. However, he has a few redeeming qualities Sussman does not have. First of all he is intelligent, he is also a good story teller, like his tales from growing up in New York (I forgot Queens the Bronx) since I lived there for 4 years. He at times plays Lester Young, and comments on his playing, since I'm a huge jazz fan (favorites Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker and Lester Young) it tells me knows good music, when he hears it. I also remember him be in favor of raising the minimum wages. Coming from a modest background he seems to understand the middle class more than Sussman. I just don't get him at all.
