Ibanez is the best Bay Area sports anchor of the last 25 years with Radunich far in second place. Ibanez is cool, calm and collected. He is old school in the best sense of the term. No silliness or goofiness with his colleagues. Once Mark got comfortable with his gray hair and shaved the mustache for good his game elevated. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteMark is an Honest, & Solid Sports News Anchor that we have come to relish in the Bay Area. I remember when Joe Montana was being let go from the SF 49ers in 1992, Mark was the "only" Sports anchor who spoke out, and said that Joe desevered to finish his football career with the 49ers after all he had achieved with the team.
ReplyDeleteWhich brings to me to the present...Why didn't Mark Ibanez speak out against the Move to Santa Clara, I believe he is one Sports Anchor that believes that the 49ers belong in SF....Unlike Dennis O'Donnell...(ick)

ReplyDeleteI hate sports by and large but this is the only guy I can stand to watch. He is the least obnoxious and comes off as a newscaster who just happens to do sports. Get well soon.
