CSNBA Brown-Nose special Re: Warriors Trade

I was out and about and heard how much brown-nosing over the TRADE occurred during Wednesday night's CSN broadcast of the W's-Boston game.

Ron Russell spells it out pretty well here at SFBayAreaObserver.

Yeah, go ahead. Read and puke.

  1. Well, when female Comcast insiders say NOTHING about the 49ers signing a rapist who got away with it...you think Lacob would get a punch in the gut?.
Even though I think it was a must trade, anything involving Monta Ellis(sexual harassment on the job) couldnt be a blockbuster. I dont see the WARRIORS in tears even if Bogut is a bust. Klay Thompson the rookie, is already 2/3rds the scorer Monta is.
If Comcast didnt have the local writers like Cohn, Kawamaki, and Poole..there would be nothing to watch..it would be ALL infomercial.

  2. While all of your rants about how "homerish" sports coverage has become in the Bay Area is dead-on, I'm wondering if it's like beating that dead horse? Bitching about it is fine, but something has to be done. The people who run the teams and Comcast/KNBR yahoos are going to give their viewers/listeners what they THINK their audience wants. This isn't going to stop unless something is done. So what's the something? Can you say "boycott"? Hard for that to happen because those stations carry the team's games. Sorry I don't have a solution here, but perhaps we can start the thought process...Hopefully, the sports fans have more intelligence than what the media gives them credit for.

  3. Rich you want brown nose?
You need look no further than Gary Radnich's over the top defense of Joe Lacob on Wednesday morning.
Has Radnich turned into Joe Lacob's pitchman?
What is it with Radnich and his love affair with Joe Lacob?
But we should not be surprised since it is common knowledge that Gary Radnich is easily star struck by sports-owners/hollywood icons, politicans etc, etc celebrity status.

  4. Did Rudy Giggles do his usual spin on the trade?
