Just what the fuck do those so-called "Insiders" at CSN Bay Area and KNBR have the inside on? Free tickets to the Gold Club? (That might be better).
It was Jay Glazier of Fox Sports who first broke the story of Carson Palmer coming to the Raiders.
Here's my theory, totally unscientific about what the Insiders were doing:
1. Ray Ratto: ('Senior Insider'): wolfing down his 4th Subway 5-dollar foot long, (the cold-cut supreme)
2. Paul Gutierrez, (Raiders Insider): checking to make sure Amy G got her tickets to the Giants Halloween party.
3. Henry Wofford: had to attend a Scott HyVer, ("AS IN VISION!") cocktail power mixer at Nopa.
4. Greg Papa: laundry day in Danville.
5. Scott Reiss: getting a manicure in Concord.
6. Jaymee Sire: just going nutso at the Walnut Creek Target.
7.Chris Olivere: pissing off more Comcast rank and file and telling ex-Comcast employees that "don't let Rich Lieberman near this fucking building!"
8. Ann Killion: going on yet another "Chron Live" to say nothing, but with gusto.

Pretty obvious the Raiders sources prefer to deal with national people like Jay Glazier, Chris Mortensen, John Clayton, not these wannabes. Good for the Raiders They're not as backwards as we think!

9:04 is right, and Rich, as usual is wrong and not funny in the process. Mortensen and Adam Schefter had the story first, but the Raiders hate ESPN so they wouldn't confirm. So now Glazer gets the credit and Rich gets to attack Comcast for not booking him to spew non-stop on Chronicle Live anymore.
