Independence Day; 415 Media to remain free; The readers have spoken

415 Media to Stay Free

You have spoken. And I have listened.

This site will remain free of charge. No strings attached. Maybe a little more advertising, but absolutely 100% free to you, my readers.

I picked a bad time to ask for donations. I know its rough out there and many of you, even those who said you would donate, I appreciate it--even those of you who took a pass, hey, for the most part, I understand. Times are tough and even 12 bucks a year is a half a tank of gas. I get it.

So, for now and the immediate future, we will not utilize a pay wall. We will still continue to provide for you, the freshest content, (good, bad, and indifferent) on a mostly daily basis.

And we will still have a take-no-prisoners approach. Not beholden to anyone, any company, for whatever reason. We will strive to continue to be fun and entertaining.

Happy Independence Day.

  1. Do you get paid more if I click on the links like in other SEO sites? If so I'm willing to click a few to boost the click rate.

  2. Rich,
What about a "members only" type of section? Could generate some cash.

  4. Just put up a paypay link at the end of each post, it can't hurt just to put it in there.... Some will donate

  6. Kind of funny that Rich who belittles Bruno for his $100/30 minute gig is scrambling around for $12.

  9. Agree with the comment to put up a donation link. People don't like pay for content but would donate the same amount. I would never pay the $12 charge but will donate.

  15. If you make this site to be like "News of the World" with a weekly photo post of "News Babe of the Week", people will come. What do you think?

  16. The other thing Rich is, that I am quite sure that your advertisers pay what they do, because of a certain amount of people who view your site everyday. If you were to start charging, obviously the viewership would go way down, thereby costing you the advertisers that you currently have, so you would end up losing money. I like ya' Rich, but don't get too greedy! I am sure you are making pretty good money from this site, considering you don't have to leave the house to do it! Plenty of people who are out of work would love to get whatever money you do get, from this site! Thanks Rich, for everything you do!
