Garcia-Cannon chimes in to RL 415 Media; Friday lunchtime post

Contrary to some reports, Laura Garcia Cannon is still before the camera at NBC Bay Area.

Brent and I are still together despite not anchoring together - 14 years of marriage next Tuesday, and raising our 2 year old triplets, we're in it for the long haul!

I'm solo anchoring the morning show right now and Brent is settling into a his new gig on NBC Bay Area News at 7pm on the KNTV's new California Non Stop Channel. It's a giant undertaking and they needed an experienced anchor to do the job.

  5. I don't know..she seems to be smiling brighter, laughing more, with a bigger twinkle in her eye without the ball and chain right next to here the whole day long.
She likes those remotes where some young stud shows her how to rope or dance..C'mon Laura admit it..you sex kitten you..

  6. She's probably the most genuine newscaster on the air these days. Witty, smart, doesn't seem to have the ego that usually comes along after someone sits in the anchor chair. How she does it with triplets, that's crazy!

  7. Have you seen Laura lately?! She's anything but that matronly married coanchor! I'd put her up against anyone in the bay area.. Smart... Sassy.. And sexy!

  8. It's 11.2, NBC's digital channel that used to air 24 hour weather. NBC Non-Stop started I believe in NY. Now LA, San Diego and the Bay Area are creating content for the sub channel, along with material from New York. I think it started in May.

  9. It has also launched here in Philadelphia on NBC10 WCAU-TV. There is a 7PM Newscast that comes on and also the LXTV and other local and regional sports telecasts.

  10. I have to laugh at the comments about Laura being the best newscaster, smart, sexy & sassy. Ha Ha Ha People....she has good a good PR team or her husband and she post these. SHE IS ANYTHING BUT!

  11. Last yr, in a KNTV ad, Laura thought that she was as smart as the people working at Silicon Valley just because she lives in this area. ... Laura, are you f--king serious? ... That KNTV ad is somewhere in the archives. .. Most of the newsreaders have a little more brain than actors. They are not gods. They screwed less ore than most. .. Their numb-minded admirers just do not believe it. ~~~ There is a joke in the news business that some of the news readers are those who can't make it in Hollywood because they would not sleep with the agents, the film directors and the executive producers. So they join to the news media business to sleep with the cameramen, the news directors, the station manager, etc.

  12. Both Brent and Laura are best suited small-market newscasts. I was amazed that NBC didn't kick them both to the curb when they took over KNTV.

  13. How many more anchor shake ups can the Bay Area take? Brent is gone form the morning news and they kept the weather bimbo with the ached back and bullet boobs?
