Hey Rich, who is the angry host on KGO from 1-4 PM on Saturday afternoons now? may be a story there. he had a stooge/yes man on there with him today and they were prattling on about the defunct Air America.
KRON has the best beauties on the air. Jac. Bennett, Louisa, the new morning anchor while tripping over every other word looks good. Hey, I see they even have a former Oakland Raiderette as a VJ. Can't be that bad. You can't leave out Vicki on the weekends. Yaoza! I tune in just to see them.
Memorial Day is getting creepier than Day of the Dead. It used to be Arthur Feidler and band doing John Philip Sousa marching band music and eating hot dogs...Now,its all these young wives grieving over dead husbands,children putting flowers on graves of those killed in a senseless Iraq war. Its depressing. No celebration of liberations anymore just,death,death,death,caused by two wars and one over a decade old. Even the weather is depressing..cold by climate change..ugh.
8:50 am In spite of the marketing,Memorial Day is not a celebration. It is a day for remembering both those who fought and sacrificed in war, and those who paid the ultimate price. When was this any different? You must have led a sheltered life?
Illegal wars over lies and WMD..vice presidents and war coporations and CIA chiefs who admit they lied to please George Bush. THAT should be a day of sorrow. For those who died in just wars...celebrate freedom and enjoy life is what they fought for. Most cultures of the world do that. Only the USA-and you- goes morbid.
