  2. You might want to listen to the KGO archives for this afternoon (Friday, 4/8). At about 2:54 PM, Gene Burns was on the Gil Gross show. He sounds great, and says that he plans to return to the air in a week or two.

  3. Yes, it was great to hear Gene Burns again. He sounded much better than when he was on with Pat Thurston a few weeks back. Apparently he will be back on his show within the next two weeks. It made for a great opening to the weekend!

  5. Gene sounded wonderful! It will be great to hear an intelligent, thought-provoking hosts. I've switched off KGO for the past few months because I CAN NOT STAND THURSTON. She's so whiny that I want to send her to her room. With Gene back, I'll be listening to 3 hours of KGO instead of the former 18-20. But maybe this is a good thing. Can't want to heard you, Gene!!

  6. I heard Gene and he did sound much, much better..an inspiration to all broadcasters.,. that the show must go on. I think it's true that when you feel like crap and have to be on the air..while you are on the air...you forget that you are sick..yes?

Well thank god for less Pat Thurston!

  8. Gene certainly has a wealth of newstalk material to keep him going. Anxious to hear his Libertarian perspective on all that has gone on in his absence. Lets cut to the chase on the Middle East for starters. You've always got to be on guard for ulterior motives with some of the KGO hacks. Finally an intellectual heavy weight that won't carry water for Israel. Wars, Budgets, Obamacare, energy are enough to sustain Gene for a long time.... We can get back to the days of watching the clock waiting for 7:05pm to roll around. Looking forward to a 30 minute commercial busting verbal thrust and perry like the good old days!!!

  9. I love Gene Burns, but will miss Pat Thurston terribly. My fantasy: Gene cannot do 3 hours so he does but one and Pat the other two. Thanks Pat for your perspective. You are RIGHT ON.
