Didn't mean a thing in the long run. His critical comments during crazy Mike Singletary's years made him expendable. Singletary is a broadcaster killer-he would have done in D.O.D too as he pushed and pushed. That might have been a good thing on the other hand..
Boy, that might be one of the boringest broadcasts I've ever heard. Even Rich Lieberman on an unheard of station is more exciting than that pretentious piece of crap.
KNBR's morning show didnt take long to do a hit on Plummer..company shill Murph turned on somebody he would have called "My friend" just last week. It was so slimy of Murph. That podcast-was it posted by dead spin pre firing? Murph didnt mention if so. Rex Ryan posted fetish vids online,described his wife's bush and breasts,and offered her to swingers. But he wasnt as much as suspended. Dirty private sex lives big business can put up(the bloated one cruisin in his Jag) with-be critical of how things are done? YOUR FIRED!
I'm shock....SHOCKED...to hear that professional athletes lead such active sex lives!! You mean Jerry Rice wasn't really getting "just a massage" at that massage parlor bust 10 years ago? Or those hotly dressed women at the ballpark aren't just "diggin' the longball"? And Van Halen concerts aren't the only place where groupies are being scoped out for conquests? Or that FP married a gal half his age because she has a terrific smile? SHOCKED!!!! So much for my "Tiger was framed" campaign.
Plummer's problem is he aired the industry's dirty little secrets and broke the man code of the clubhouse much like Canseco did with steroids. Publicly, they want to portray a sports industry of good clean family men to sell to middle America (whom behind closed doors are also getting their freak on!) when, privately, these guys are getting so much tail offered up in their faces. Power. Money. Success. Confidence. Starpower. Is it news that these things attract more women?
I listened to about 10 minutes of the Plummer podcast. It is a Sex Talk show so I expect things to be candid and adult. Kudos to Plummer for being open and honest about the side of pro sports no one wants to talk about and for not selling us the B.S. during the Niners games (thank goodness someone remembered what playoff quality ball looked like).
