Lowell Cohn and Nepotism? I don't think so

Lowell Cohn feels sensitive enough to write about nepotism and his son, Grant, who writes a blog for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.

Apparently, some of Cohn's followers are miffed because LC posts a lot of his son's links directly on the "Cohn Zone" spot.

I don't see a big deal here. Conflict of interest? Uh, this is sports, not Washington politics. I don't get it. Lowell is trying to give his son some extended exposure so he chooses to plug every now and then.

What do you think? Am I missing something here?

  1. Humm. So did Joe Starkey and his son (stat man).

  2. "Lowell is trying to give his son some extended exposure so he chooses to plug every now and then."

You can probably make a similar justification for any kind of nepotism - "Just trying to help a family member out."

  3. This may not be nepotism, but I always wonder when the caller Butcher Boy calls Damon on 1050, are the plugs free or does he have some type of side deal for his business?

  4. I know both Lowell and his son. Both are very nice but its nepotism by definition!
